Great cream! My skin is less irritated and there seems to be a cleanup effect for me with less blemishes overall. Maybe that is what balanced skin looks like? I just bought it again. So worth it, if you think about how many creams you buy and try for a while and it never is 100%. I have never had better skin than when wearing the Alkaitis day and night creams. Recommended!

Hands down my favorite night cream ever (though i use it in the daytime also). I’ve been using this for a while now and it is wonderful. First off, it smells so good (imo). A very soft almost sweet comforting smell. The texture is kinda thick and doesn’t offer much “slip” but to fix that i usually smooth on a couple of drops of the treatment oil first so that when i apply the cream there is no tugging (i don’t do the whole patting on moisturizer…i like the smoothing and massage bit). Doesn’t leave me oily, tacky, sticky ect….skin feels just like velvet. I slather this stuff all over my face and neck..i mean sometimes i lay it on thick and it never breaks me out nor clog pores even though it is potent in moisturizing. My skin just glows in the morning when i wake up wich is amazing considering i have a two month old and don’t get much sleep. If it can do that for me now i imagine what it may do for me when i do get a full eight hours! I have no idea how this makes my skin look so good as it does..all i know is that I love love love this cream and don’t have any intention on trying another.
UPDATE:: HG!!!! Still the best stuff ever 🙂 This line is amazing..

First tried this in the Dr. Alkaitis Travel Set from Saffron Rouge and must admit my first attempt was a disaster as I switched to all Dr. Alkaitis products in one fell swoop. Not a good idea as my face wasn’t happy with the Cleanser.
However, my face is quite happy with the Soothing Gel and Night Cream which I use in the evening. Especially in the winter, this seems to have a lovely amount of moisture keeping the wrinkles at bay. I’ve found it takes a while to soak in and the smell is quite unique, but now that I’ve gotten used to it I look forward to treating my face to this after a long day. I use a big pea size amount each night and the bottle appears to be lasting forever. The top part of the dispenser has a tendency to fall off, but other than that no issues with the product or packaging.

I’ve woken up to more rosy, glowing, and healthful skin every morning for the past 3 weeks I have been using this. I thought it would be too moisturizing for my skin (oily, acne-prone, but it does a great job at regulating oil production and hasn’t caused any breakouts. And my skin is so, so soft and supple!

the aroma has this way of reaching the depths of my soul. it’s floral, woodsy, and so soothing

quite expensive ($54/1 oz.); in the past I’ve paid this much for moisturizers that are twice the size, but this is worth it
Just FYI: I’ve found that my skin is in its best shape with a dairy-free diet high in vegetables and low in wheat and sugar, along with a daily multi and cod liver oil supplement.

It’s been a long time since I’ve been moved to review a product. But Dr. Alkaits’ Organic Night Cream (along with everything else I’ve tried from this line) has inspired me. I have been interested in trying more natural products, but my acne-prone skin has rebelled against everything I’ve tried (Arcona, Suki, 100% Pure, Dr. Hauschka, and various health food store finds). Here’s where Dr. Alkaitis comes to the rescue. Not only hasn’t this cream broken me out in the weeks I’ve been using it, but it’s been healing the blemishes I had from the aforementioned skin care lines and has done what so many companies have promised but never delivered on: it, along with the day cream and the toner, has brought my skin into balance.
As for the cream itself, it’s on the rich side, but it absorbs into the skin nicely and feels smooth and soothing going on. I find the herbal scent to be relaxing, which is a plus before going to bed. Applying this cream is an experience I actually look forward to, and I have never felt like that about my nighttime skin care ritual. In terms of packaging, the cream comes in a pump dispenser that is easily controlled.
I am so grateful to have found a product that not only keeps my skin hydrated without making it oily or breaking it out but is healing to the skin and a luscious delight to the senses to use. This and the day cream are the best creams I have ever used, without a doubt, (and I’ve used many!).

Update: November 2010 – Unfortunately, although a lovely product, my skin doesn’t seem to like the essential oils and/or shea butter in Dr. Alkaitis’ products anymore. My face breaks out and gets irritated by them. If your skin is not sensitive to Essential oils and/or shea butter – go ahead and try it. I can still wholeheartedly recommend the shea terra baobab oil!
ORIGINAL REVIEW – I have been sensitive to most products lately and this along with the Alkaitis oil are the only things my face tolerates without any reaction. Since it’s winter time, my skin is super-dry and sensitive. I apply a couple of drops of my beloved baobab oil (from Shea Terra) after washing my face then apply the Alkaitis night cream on my cheeks (where my face is the most dry) with a drop of Alkaitis oil (mixed together the palm of my hand). I wake up with skin which is moisturized, not irritated and broken out. I would recommend to people with sensitive skin.

Honestly, I don’t know what got me hooked on Dr. Alkaitis’ products but I just look forward every day and night to apply them! At first I thought this night cream is a bit on the oily side but after a consistent 3 weeks of using it at night I just can’t live without it. What got me so attached with this cream is its heavenly smell, which I swear it is what gets me addicted. It has that earthy tone which is very soothing and calming. Just by inhaling it I feel my skin is being healed and calmed down from all the day time irritants and aggressors.
One of the beauty website owner told me Dr. Alkaitis products are more for healing and calming the skin, which I couldn’t agree with more. To be honest, I didn’t see any amazing anti aging effects, nor does it heal my acne nor fade my scars in no time, but trust me, you will be hooked as soon as you put it on your face!
One of the best things about this night cream Dr. Alkaitis really put in the purest ingredients which he claims you can eat it. My skin is loving it and I don’t think I want to use any other night creams after using Dr. Alkaistis line!

This cream is a wonderful night time product! It is expensive but I only have to use a tiny amount to moisturize my entire face. The sample size lasted me almost 3 months. This moisturizer seems to keep working throughout the night – I don’t wake up with a dry face in the morning. I also don’t wake up with oily skin like I have with other moisturizers for dry skin – this seems to give my skin just what it needs. It absorbs very quickly – I apply this after the Organic Soothing Gel so that it spreads more easily. Used in combination with other Dr. Alkaitis products, this has given me smooth, glowy skin that is hydrated. I think I am also seeing a reduction in fine lines and clogged pores. A very beautiful product that contains high quality effective ingredients.

This cream feels really good. I take a minute to really massage it in, as per the instructions, and it leaves my skin velvety. When I wake up, my skin is smooth and very hydrated but not oily. Dr. Alkaitis is truly wonderful.

This night cream is really nice. Its expensive here in the UK but its well worth it. It feels really thick so you only need a tiny bit so a little goes a long long way. The smell is rather usual but nice. As for the results, it gives me a fresh clear complexion but it has not reduced my fine lines on my forehead. Dr Alkaitis products are excellent, I love this product, the day cream and the universal mask in particular. The thing I love about Dr Alkaitis is that the ingredients are raw and also organic. I love the packaging as its in an airless pump and there also no alcohol either.
