Props to Juice Beauty for this ahhh-mazing moisturizer. Every year starting in November my extremely sensitive, mature facial skin beings to molt often continuing into the first couple months of the year. It happens just about the time we begin a heavy-duty month of our most important meetings and it isn’t pretty.
I try not to let vanity get the best of me but I don’t care to present myself as a ‘flake’ and don’t find peeling skin at all appealing! Without this moisturizer it would be difficult to see myself as a smooth operator.
My nighttime rescue routine is fairly simple and I give most of the credit to Juice Beauty for that. I wash with a sensitive skin cleanser (Acure), apply JB Antioxidant Serum let it set for about a minute, then massage in organic Jojoba Oil (Eden Botanicals), let it set for another minute or so and last seal it all with this JB Nutrient Moisturizer. I call this practice my SWAK SMAK-down. Kiss them flakes goodbye!
For those that don’t need mega moisture perhaps you’d find this moisturizer to be overly mask-like but it’s exactly what my skin craves when it’s this dry: ‘smotherly’ love. If I’m staying home I leave my routine at this. If I’m going out it is followed with JB Phyto-Pigments Illuminating Primer then JB Stem Cellular CC Cream, which I wouldn’t be without. Sometimes this is all I need. If my skin is behaving badly I will bounce the CC Cream on with a Beauty Blender to keep from rubbing my overly sensitive skin. Otherwise I simply apply it with my fingers and follow with foundation if necessary.
Bottom line: if you’re looking for healthy ingredients to protect your body’s “largest organ” (your epidermis), look no further than Juice Beauty. Your skin is sure to drink it up. Cheers!

I wanted to like this, and I really want to like this brand in general because it’s organic, natural and the products have what seem to be good ingredients. Unfortunately, this moisturizer must have some common allergy-causing ingredient or irritant because it made my skin instantly turn red on every surface it was applied and according to other reviews, this has happened to others as well. It seems to sink in and provide decent moisture to the skin, however I won’t be repurchasing.

I am so happy I did not buy this. I tried a little on my hands in the store. Everywhere I have touched – behind ear, neck, face – is on fire right now. Even my hands are burning a little, which has never happened. I know I have very sensitive facial skin, but this is kind of crazy for a product marketed as intended for sensitive skin.

I really wanted to love this after reading some reviews and seeing it at a local Whole Foods. The packaging is great and the smell is lovely but literally 10 seconds after applying this my face turned red and started burning really bad. I guess I’m allergic to something in the ingredients but not sure what it is, very surprised about this since it’s supposed to be natural and organic and my face is not that sensetive. My advice is to be careful with this and test it first before you apply it to your face!

The second I put this on, it was like a waxy mask on my skin and I should have washed it off. Instead I thought maybe I’ll just see and overnight, pimples popped out where I’ve never had breakouts before. I immediately stopped using it and it’s 3 days later and my skin is still recouperating.
I really think this is not the product line for me.

Juice Beauty is an organic skincare brand that I was first introduced to over the the summer when I received a sample of their Green Apple SPF 15 Moisturizer in a MyGlam bag. I was a little put off by that moisturizer, but intrigued by the concept of the brand, so I’m back with a different moisturizer to try. Juice Beauty’s Nutrient Moisturizer is a “nutrient rich moisturizer that hydrates and replenishes with calming botanicals, fatty acid-rich plant oils, and vitamin antioxidants for ageless, healthy skin. Juice Beauty’s Nutrient Moisturizer is designed for all skin types and is especially beneficial for normal, dry, and mature skin.” This moisturizer doesn’t contain any SPF, so I’ve been using it at night. Like most Juice Beauty products, their Nutrient Moisturizer contains lots of organic, natural ingredients. The full size of the Nutrient Moisturizer contaisn 2fl oz (60ml) and retails for $36. I have a .5fl oz (15 ml) sample that I got in the Organics to Go kit, which I bought at Ulta for $29. Juice Beauty does not test on animals and are a 100% vegetarian brand, they’re currently working on becoming vegan. Juice Beauty products are made in America. Juice Beauty can be bought through the brand’s website, at Ulta, and some spas and Whole Foods.
As with all Juice Beauty products the Nutrient Moisturizer has simple but attractive packaging. My sample of the product comes in a white squeeze tube with the Juice Beauty logo and product name on the front. The back of the tube offers a product description and a full ingredient list. The full size of Juice Beauty’s Nutrient Moisturizer comes in a jar as opposed to a tube, which I don’t prefer. We all know that I want EVERYTHING to come in a squeeze tube. Anyway, informative and attractive packaging, good job Juice Beauty.
I found Juice Beauty’s Green Apple moisturizer too thick, it sat on the skin for quite a while and left a white cast to my skin. I really hoped that their Nutrient Moisturizer wouldn’t perform the same way, but unfortunately it does. Juice Beauty’s Nutrient Moisturizer is pretty think, I tend to dilute it with a drop or two of Josie Maran’s Argan Oil, which not only thins it out, but also adds additional moisturizer. This moisturizer needs to be really worked into the skin, or else it will sit on top of the skin for several minutes. I don’t find the Nutrient Moisturizer to be anything special t all, it isn’t even all that moisturizing, its merely sufficient. Juice Beauty says its ideal for dry, mature, and normal skin, but I have normal skin and this stuff barely gives me enough moisture. I’d feel kinda bad for those with dry skin who turned to Juice Beauty’s Nutrient Moisturizer looking for something deeply nourishing and intensely moisturizing. I will say that this moisturizer is non-greasy and seems to be quite gentle on the skin. Its fragrance free and has a very mild, natural scent.
I’m not pleased with Juice Beauty’s Nutrient Moisturizer. I’ve been using it as my night time moisturizer and I feel like its only decent. I want something a little more moisturizing for night time. Even as a day time moisturizer, I don’t think it would cut it. Juice Beauty’s Nutrient Moisturizer takes forever to sink in, I don’t got time for that when I’m starting my day. From what I’ve tried, I feel like Juice Beauty can’t nail their moisturizer formulas, they’re too thick and not very effective. I don’t recommend Juice Beauty’s Nutrient Moisturizer, you can find much better for moisturizers for much less, even from other natural/organic brands.

I got a sample of this and didn’t care for it. It has a thick texture, so I had assumed it would be very moisturizing, but it wasn’t. I felt like it didn’t really sink in and just sat there feeling slightly sticky. I ended up putting another moisturizer on over it.
This is the second product I’ve tried from this line, and I haven’t liked either of them.

Wonderful for hydrating the skin and the scent is yummy!
I can only use this during colder months due to it being a heavier moisturizer. Thus my saying only use the dot method when applying and warm in your hands before use. Too much product and your skin may feel overwhelmed.
And speaking of oily, oily skin types may not like this, same with highly blemished skin.
If you prefer an SPF moisturizer vs a powder during the day this is a great night time moisturizer!
I have a client using this during the winter right now and I’ll be introducing this to another in the near future. 🙂

I really like this moisturizer. It is not too heavy whatsoever and rubs in very easily. I really really like it.

I love this product. I have to use harsher cleansing products due to my adult acne and so my skin can dry out. This seems to be perfect in giving the right amount of moisture to my skin. I also love that I can use it on the skin around my eyes and they do not get irritated. In fact, they look better than when I was using a specific eye cream. I will definitely buy again!
