Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula with Vitamin E has had this Night Renewal Cream in their facial line up of products for quite a few years now. This is no longer called Night Renewal Cream but ‘Moisture Rich Night Cream’.
First of all why isn’t this in the best of beauty blogs or in ALLURE or INSTYLE magazine! This is without a doubt department store worthy.
First of all the formula is filled to the brim with ingredient’s research has shown makes a visible difference in the appearance of skin, how much we will never know for sure (unless your a cosmetic chemist) but judging from the ingredient listing I suspect the ingredients are in effective concentrations.
By law ingredients must be placed in order of concentration from highest to lowest, usually most drugstore brands(and some department store brands for that matter) are incredibly watered down and contain nothing but colouring agents, wafting fragrance, thickeners and preservatives, if there are fancy ingredients they are most likely placed behind the preservative or PH adjuster which is a guarantee that those fancy ingredients they are claiming will do wonders for your skin, are only really below 1% which is not enough to make differences to skin.
Here is the ingredient listing/formula
Water (Aqua), Cetearyl Alcohol, Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Extract, Cyclopentasiloxane, Glyceryl Stearate, Peg-100 Stearate, Cyclohexasiloxane, Glycereth-26, Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Seed Butter, Diethylhexyl Sebacate, Glycerin, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Tocopherol, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Retinol, Aloe Barbadenis Leaf Juice Powder, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Palmitoyl Tripeptide-1, Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-7, Oenothera Biennis (Evening Primrose) Flower Extract, Hydrolyzed Milk Protein, Tetrasodium EDTA, Ceteareth-20, Sodium Polyacrylate, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin, N-Hydroxysuccinimide, Fragrance (Parfum), Steareth-20, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, BHT, Propylene Glycol, Benzyl Benzoate, Coumarin.
Cocoa Extract and Butter, Glycerin, Shea Butter, Vitamin E, Sunflower Seed Oil, Retinol!, Aloe Vera, Coconut Oil, 2 Peptides!, Evening Primrose Extract and Hydrolyzed Milk Protein. All wonderful research proven ingredients and definitely in efficacious amounts. It contains something called N-Hydroxysuccinimide an ingredient I often find in eye creams and products designed for the elimination of dark circles, although research on this particular ingredient for those concerns is lacking and so far at the bottom of the listing it’s most likely a dusting.
The cream’s texture is quite thick and rich but applies surprisingly smooth and almost matte on the skin whilst leaving skin feeling beautifully moisturised without feeling the least bit slick, greasy or heavy.
Fragrance is something this product definitely needs work on! The previous formula ‘Night Renewal Cream’ as with most of the Palmer’s Facial line of products a few years back had a pleasant universal scent with Fresh White Lily. That too was slightly overpowering but I definitely prefer that to the artificial chocolate-y heavy scent it is now. It’s quite cloying.
I have used this new version and the previous formula on and off for a few years now and it is one of the best hands down moisturisers at the pharmacy/drugstore/chemist. Such a great value and a generous size of 75 grams which will usually last me exactly one month.
It is extremely rare to find a drugstore cream with Retinol in such a high amount and kudos to Palmer’s for producing a great, quality, effective product that actually does what it claims. Palmer’s is one of the few family owned companies left in America and they are great brand with a large variety of options for all skin concerns, their Skin Success line is also extremely affordable and effective and I will be writing reviews on that line soon.
This cream should win an award! Please do try it!

This 8£ cream contains pure Retinol, 2 types of complex Peptides and Vitamin E. For the life of me, I don’t understand why it isn’t that popular especially for the price. I’ve been using it for a month and I’m going to stock on a 2nd jar. I can only find it at Superdrug here in the UK. It is quickly absorbed by the skin although very rich. I truly feel that my skin is well nourished at night.
All I do is add a couple of drops of The ordinary Niacinamide / Vitamin C and I literally have a solid and thorough anti-aging skincare routine.
I highly recommend it !

I love This night cream, also they have just reformulated it, MORE RETINOL = AMAZING ???? I have used this for a year and a half now, thick, non-greasy, skin resurfacer it’s just as good, if not better than the high price creams I’ve tried.

This stuff is amazing. Leaves skin so soft and supple and it got rid of my yucky pimple scars (I get cyst like pimps).
My skin is really, really dry around my nose and my hair line and this is perfect for it without making me oily.
BEAUTY TIP!!!!!! This works AMAZINGLY as a make up primer!! Use a thin layer and I promise you your makeup with stay on perfectly all day! I used it and my makeup was perfect from 11am until 11pm!!

I’ve been using using this the past few weeks. I got it because it has a small amount of retinol in it, which I’d heard is good for acne. This stuff is amazing, the stubborn patch of acne I’ve got on my forehead has almost disappeared. In fact, some small spots on my nose disappeared overnight.
It feels very light so I was surprised that my dry patches of skin still felt very moisturised the next morning. I also had a mild yet stubborn patch of dermatitis on my forehead (it’s been there for almost a year) and it’s almost gone now.
I was worried that the retinol in this would irritate my skin. There was some tingling the first few uses but that’s gone.
This would be 5 out of 5 if not for the DISGUSTING scent. It makes me feel sick. I wouldn’t buy again for this reason.

I bought this cream because all the good reviews about it, so i decided to try it. I’ve found it in a drugstore for around $17, so it’s quiet cheap. First time i tried this cream, i think it didn’t work well.. i have a normal skin, and after apply it for a week my skin feel dry and causing redness. So i decided to stop.
But then i bought Trilogy rose hip oil, so i give it try to use the cream after i use Trilogy. And it really works!!! After i woke up.. my skin feel smooth and brighter. No redness on my face, and the acne on my forehead start to dissapear. So far i love the result of this combination.

Best night cream I have ever used! Its feels thick and luxurious but absorbs nicely into the skin, I have oily/combo skin and yes it can work for us too! ( no greasiness) I can tell it really absorbs into my skin, some night creams I’ve used feel like they just sink ontop of the skin. When I wake up my skin looks and feels silky smooth. After using it for about a month I can tell my overall skintone is more even. Highly highly recommend!!

Palmer’s is a brand I tend to ignore as I go skincare shopping. It has a very thick, creamy texture but to my surprise, mys kin absorbs it well. It delivers what it promises and I truly feel that my skin is moisturized throughout the night and I wake up with supple, smooth skin. I can’t comment on its anti-aging effect but overall this is a very good dirt cheap night cream and I have no intention to replace it with other products.

This product is thick but absorbs quickly and has pretty good moisturisation. It lasts all night through cold winter. However the fragrance is too much and it causes my skin to no a bit red. I don’t have sensitive skin but can’t handle the fragrance.

I was just looking for an alternative night cream to replace my night cream from a doctor because I wanted something that’s sold and easily found in the market, and I saw this. It’s about IDR 169.000 in Indonesia or about $18.
I have oily skin and I got hormonal pimples, few dark spots, and fine lines. I was using this for about two months and I noticed that I got pimples more than usual every now and then, but I didn’t stop using it. I think it was just because of the retinol in it.
I have been using it religiously for 7 months now and I noticed that my lines aren’t as deep as they were and it has helped to regenerate and smoothen my skin. I feel that it also helps to reduce my pimples. I have stopped getting random acnes. And I have been using the same jar. It has a lot of product in it. I think I’m gonna repurchase this thing.
UPDATE
I’ve been using the same jar, this thing lasted for almost a year for me. My skin looks good. My friend just told me yesterday when I was not wearing any make up at all that my skin looks great and asked me my skin care routine. I noticed the first time I started using it I got a dark patch on my cheekbone, it’s gone now. And I used to have this ugly dry hairline that got irritated for some reason, I put this cream on, and never got that dry patch since then.
