Imagine mixing parraffin wax with alcohol to make it a little liquidy and this cream is like that. Except instead of parraffin there is “synthetic wax”, the one they use on cars! The ingredients go in order: Water, Glycerin, Dimethicone (a silicone), HYDROGENATED POLYISOBUTENE (synthetic oil), Alcohol Denat (one of the problematic alcohols), Propylene glycol (anti-freeze ingredient), Synthetic Wax, Nylon-12 (a bulking agent)….. the rest is mostly even more silicones. WHAT in the world is truly beneficial for skin in that list other than glycerin, which exists in most creams anyway? The main ingredients are only things that will make your cream look more than it is in amount, liquiding agents, and preservatives.
Silicone sits on the skin like a mask and instantly make your skin feel softer, which is like “skin care make-up” in a way, it doesn’t treat it, just temporarily covers it with softness. Of course same goes for synthetic wax. This cream is NOTHING but an illusion product. And not a good one that is too.
I applied it on my face in the noon, at 8pm when I touch my face it was still flaking, like how if you scratch some candle wax on the table it gets peeled off, exactly like that. And instead of that light feeling when you use a moisturizer, it actually feels like you’re wearing a wax mask for hours. Around 8 I got sick of it and just washed my face.
Vichy Thermal Water Spray is my favorite thermal water, I liked couple of other Vichy products in the past. I can’t believe how they came up with such a poor, ridiculous formula. I was given its samples, definitely won’t be buying.
