I have lupus and get malar rash sometimes. A few weeks ago, I had hives AND malar rash at the same time. My whole face was covered in red lesions and bumps. The hives itched like crazy, my skin felt hot and irritated, and dry as well. I didn’t know what to put on my face, so I went to the pharmacy and they gave me samples of this to try. It was very soothing and moisturizing without being greasy at all. The only reason I didn’t give it a 5 is because it doesn’t absorb easily. I have to rub and rub, it turns to a paste on my skin and just sits there all white, and I have to tap it in with my fingers for a while. I’m not sure why no one else has mentioned this, the samples aren’t old either, the expiration’s not for another year. Anyway, I’d buy this the next time I have any kind of rash.

Hooray for DermaVeen! My mum’s a nurse and her ward regulary recommends and uses this on patients. When I had an allergic reaction to penicillin back in April, my body was covered in an itchy, red, inflammed rash that made sleep almost impossible. This really helped take the edge off. Since then, I’ve continued to use it. My face is acne prone, but is also sensitive and dries out easily after cleansing. I find this really helps re-moisturise my skin, without clogging up my pores or irritating my existing acne. It doesn’t have fancy packaging or nice perfumes, but it works and it’s cheap. I’ve since converted my sensitive, acne-prone skinned boyfriend onto it, and he’s in love too! Give it a go!

I use this as a body cream during winter after cleansing with the Dermaveen body wash. For sensitive, dry skin – nothing better!
Not expensive either – great stuff. At times it doesn’t feel very moisturising because it just sinks in with no shine or anything on the skin. I feel that it traps the moisture in though – maybe that’s just me!
I would not be without this product. Dermaveen always has some special cheap kit to buy – try it. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain.
