This is the best moisturiser I have ever used.
The most outstanding aspects of the Serum Cream were:
1) my skin absorbs it and it was hydrating and moisturising for the entire night/day and
2) it doesn’t break me out.
I make the second point with confidence having finished the entire jar. I tend to get clogged pores especially in the area under my eyes, where the texture can be obvious. This is the first moisturiser that I have used up (yay!) as it suited my skin so well.
I have tried high-end and budget moisturisers, from La Mer to Cetaphil, which were either not hydrating or moisturising enough, poorly formulated (didn’t sink in and stayed as greasy layer on my skin), couldn’t handle a change in season (e.g. harsh winter wind, changes in humidity), and/or gave me pimples. I used the Suqqu Moisture Serum Cream from early winter to late spring, and its performance was consistent despite environmental changes.
I purchased the entire moisture range with the pink packaging, which included the Suqqu Moisture Repair Essence N, the Moisture Hydro Lotion and Moisture Serum Cream. The Serum Cream has a lightweight texture between a gel and a cream that doesn’t spread as much as the Sisley Black Rose Cream. It sinks in quickly, feels comfortable, and plays well with sunscreen and makeup. I don’t think it has ‘actives’ but it is soothing, moisturising, and doesn’t cause any clogged pores. This is my holy grail moisturiser.
I will note that all of the Suqqu Moisture range is heavily fragranced with a floral scent. I personally didn’t experience any negative effect, but try to get a sample first if you have a sensitive nose or if your skin is sensitive to fragrance.
The price is high so I am trying the Sisley Black Rose Skin Infusion Cream, because it is cheaper per gram, not because I am trying to find something better. If I were to go on a trip or if my skin was having issues, I would buy the Suqqu Moisture Serum Cream.
