I generally love Perricone products, they are powerful and perform as the best creams on the market, but some items of the Plasma line (the Cold Plasma Sub D and the Cold Plasma) gave me a bad allergic reaction.
So I was bit nervous before buying this one.
Luckily the Photo Plasma performed extremely well without giving me any bad reaction, and I am almost half of the jar. So I am safe.
This pink, soft, whipped-cream like goes on like a dream and works great!
Really pleasant to apply (texture is so soft), lighly scented and visually uplifting.
I have combo oily skin, and this is one of the few spf 30 moisturizers I have used that has been truly lightweight and non greasy.
In addition it has anti-ageing ingredients. I use it under foundation and works well as a primer (no shiny T-zone).
Only downside is the price, high for a sunscreen. For me, it’s worth it. It’s a staple in my book!

This would have been hands down one of the best moisturizer with SPF, had it not been an oil slick.
Premium moisturizer that feels incredible on skin, because of its whipped cream texture, I presume. Light fragrance and a bit of tint that only makes it better. Leave it on for two hours on combination skin and that dewy glow turns into oil layering on the skin.
Only wish it would have not been so oily, might work great on dry skin though.

Out of all the lotions and creams I have tried, this has been my favorite. Moisturized my face without making my skin feel gross or like I wanted to wash it off. Didn’t make me break out or itch. The only negatives are I am not crazy about the jar, and the price is crazy. I have been trying to find a cheap alternative, but I haven’t yet. I am almost 46 with dry super sensitive skin that can itch or breakout from products and this was a winner.

I’ve only had this product for a mere 24 hours and used it twice but I am very impressed. It soaks in immediately and the texture of the skin feels better. With a lot of moisturizers once you put some makeup on you get that nasty pilling, especially around the jaw line. Not with this product. It has a fluffly texture, kind of whipped and disappears into the skin. I’ll have to come back and add to this review after using it for a few weeks.

This moisturizer is perfect for my skin. I like the spf, since I have had basal cell skin cancer on my face and have to be very careful to remember sun protection every day. This product is just the right consistency, not too light and not too heavy if you want to wear it under foundation.
I have already repurchased once. I would say this is a HG moisturizer for me.

This is by far the best moisturizer I have come across. I like a moisturizer with sunscreen and I want the sunscreen to by a physical, not chemical, sunscreen. I also want a moisturizer that will not irritate my sensitive skin and will not turn my face into an oily sheen at the end of the day. Well, Dr. Perricone has done it with this moisturizer! I had been using ReVive’s moisturizer at about 4 times the cost and this is, by far, a better product. It goes on like a dream – the whipped consistency is a real plus. There is virtually little to no smell. And, there is no white cast to deal with. Then, this provides great coverage all day long without turning into an oily mess and my foundation just slides over this moisturizer. The sunscreen protection is very good, too, as other reviewers have pointed out. This is a keeper.

I tried this as a small sample placed in a pot by the sales rep and initially thought “mmm” this feels nice! It has an expensive, light whipped cream texture, almost mousse like and is a lovely pale peach colour. I was looking for something oil free to layer over my other Perricone products ( cold plasma, one of the serums – I am trialling a few of them: formula 15, the peptide one in the green bottle, acyl gluthione).
What I wanted was something not to add any more hydration or oil to the mix but just a layer of protection. Going on this feels wonderful – it has aloe vera in it I think – lovely and cooling and spreads well over the skin ( much as a high end creme should). Takes minimal blending and considering its high spf no chalky white cast or ashen look.
Then I looked in the mirror more carefully and realised I had quite a sheen on my skin – almost pearlised. I was late for work so just blotted a bit with a tissue. I don’t use make up / powder but maybe this would help ameliorate the sheen.
When I came home from work and looked in the mirror in the elevator my face looked so oily and shiny – like I had rubbed butter or cooking oil all over my face! Not happy.
Still – despite this I bought a jar online at discount to see if modifying my regime / other serums / products would help to ease the oiliness. Having just finished a full jar I would say…. No.
If you wear makeup this could be your holy grail as it acts as a primer and the reflective nature of the product may give your foundation added “glow”. It certainly makes you looks healthy and glowy on first application but unfortunately on me this glow descends into a full on oil slick after a few hours.
I have just ordered some Obagi matte sun screen as I need to believe that I can still protect my skin from the ravages of daylight without looking like I have rubbed butter on my face.
Disappointing

I purchased this in the Perricone kit. Retailed for $90. This is easily my favorite part of the kit. there is not very heavy smell to this product. the consistency is very light and fluffy. I take about a quarter size of product and spread it on my face and neck during the test. The best part of this is that it absorbs quickly to this skin and it has an SPF 30. I have combination skin. I’m not sure how much this product separately. I’m sure I’ll find it out when I finish the product.

I love this product. I have the Photo Plasma Broad Spectrum moisturiser. I have VERY dry and VERY sensitive skin and this works wonders for me. My skin complaints are:
1) blistering eczema around chin area that flairs up in extreme temperatures / climates (hot or cold) as well as flair ups when I am run down
2) Sensitivity
3) Prone to breakouts / reactive
I use more than the recommended tiny amount but I do think it is worth it. Plus I ONLY wear this at night so I tell myself it’s only like applying twice a day….!
You’ll be surprised when you first open it (texture and color)
The texture is very floofy. It’s like a peach colored italian meringue or marshmallow which is very unusual. I like this whipped texture. The scent is pleasant – not perfumey but not chemically.
It is quickly absorbed into the skin but you will feel like a veil / slight residue (which is why I don’t apply in the morning because I think it needs a full night to be absorbed completely and for this residuey thing to go). I wouldn’t want to apply makeup over it.
When I wear this consistently, I lose my blistery chin grossness and my skin glows. I feel my makeup glide on better because I don’t have the roughness going on.
I panic when I use it up because after a week of not using it, I start turning into a monster again.

HOLY GRAIL. It’s only been a week but holy cow. I suffer from EXTREMELY dry skin and redness to boot. This stuff is amazing on my skin and a little foes a long way. I think that’s the first time I’ve ever been able to say that about a moisturizer because usually I can’t put on enough. This stuff is seriously amazing, I think I’ll be trying some more products from this line in addition. I got this as a kit so I have the traveler size and you bet I’ll be repurchasing. This is even enough for me in the winter months but I guess the line has another moisturizer to target very dry skin. If I want to indulge at night I’ll take a big finger-full but in the morning I dot it on before rubbing it in. it absorbs quickly when you apply the right amount. At night when I put more it does have a tacky feeling. My makeup sticks to it like glue! No more need for primers because this baby packs it all plus SPF. I haven’t had any adverse reactions and I hope I continue to love this product because I think my search for a great moisturizer has finally come to an end. Do yourself a favor and at least pick up a sample from Sephora. It’s worth it!
