I can’t believe the poor reviews this product has got. I really like this moisturiser, it feels amazing! And is the nicest consistency, like a whipped feeling to it. Awesome dispenser too. And really like that fact it is silicone/fragrance/paraben free.
I have combo/dehydrated skin that breaks out easily. My skin felt great after applying this, balanced and calm. The one thing i would say is it isn’t that mattifying, it makes my t-zone a little oilier, i just apply a lighter layer to these areas. So this is probably more suited for combo/normal/a bit dry. Wouldn’t recommend for oily skin.
I picked a few days ago, so will update if it breaks me out in a few weeks. So far so good.

Wanted something light weight for the day time and made my skin very oily. I already have oily skin, this was supposed to mattify the t zone but just made it even oilier.

So horribly irritating that it stung my hands before I could even get it onto my face. Stupidly I still used it being in a rush that morning. It was on my facial skin about an hour before I had to wash it off because of the increasing redness and welt-like marks. This is just perfumed sludge and the last place it should be is your face. Ughh. I can’t think of a worse line to use for any skin type.

Wow! I can’t believe I’m the only one who loves this product. This keeps my oily Tzone matte for the entire day. First I put the Ren Hydra Global Day Cream all over my face. After I let that sit for about a minute, I put this product on top over my Tzone. Not only does this keep me matte and my foundation stays put, but no irritation or breakouts. This is an exceptional product!!

I tried out this product from a set. It does not feel moisturizing enough for my combination skin so I will probably not purchase the full size.

I was given a sample tube of this Matte Balancing moisturiser when I bought a bottle of the Mayblossom cleanser in a SpaceNK shop where I live in England. See separate review. I used the fluid once and developed red spots all over my face which took months to go. Actually still have scars. Never again will I use a shop cream on my face! For the past seven years I have only used cosmeceuticals not available on the high street. One mistake and I’m scarred. Not funny.
EDIT 9th May 2012
Went into shop today. This Matte moisturiser has been renamed T Zone. The only difference in ingredients is that glucose has been added to the new formulation. Second from last ingredient. The packaging colouring is slightly different.

I like that this cream comes in a pump bottle and it has got a nice consistency. It’s also absorbed quickly into the skin and it moisturizes the skin pretty good, but especially in the winter I don’t think it moisturizes the skin good enough and the skin tends to feel a bit dry.
I don’t think this cream has any effect on pimples or redness and I also don’t think it controls oil production. One thing I also have noticed with the cream is that my skin tends to look quite red after I have applied it in the morning.
Another thing I don’t like with this cream is that it contains phenoxyethanol, which is a synthetic preservator and known skin irritant.
This is a very exepensive cream and in my opinion it isn’t worth the high price.

This product seemed to work in conjunction with the (amazing) Mayblossom cleanser, but on its own is nothing special. It smells very fresh/herbal-y, but does not live up to the mattifying claim. My skin is shiny within just a couple of hours. It does not make me break out, but likewise it does not diminish my breakouts. Only slightly better than wearing no moisturizer at all.

This makes my combo skin oily after a few hours and I have also noticed a cluster of breakouts on my chin! Why can’t they just leave products that work alone!! This used to be the Mayblosson and Konjac Moisturiser and it was fantastic! Thye’ve also lost me on my staple combo cleanser! I have used the Mayblossom and Blue Cypress Cleansing Gel which has now been changed to Mayblossom T-Zone Cleansing Gel and I don’t know what they put in it but my sensitive combo skin broke out in a BIG way! Sadly will not use Ren again.

I normally have very oily skin and this product dries up my skin. it’s not a bad moisturizer since it’s natural and not filled with synthetic chemical but i wish it was just a bit more moisturizing. for the price $52, it’s not worth it.
