A great product to use with others, I feel like it’s not hydrating enough for my skin alone so I use it in combination with other products.

Bought this on a whim. My skin is usually very oily, and I decided to give the whole “Moisturize it so much it doesn’t get oily” approach a go. It actually worked wonders. The cream soaks in really nicely but doesn’t disappear completely, and my skin looked beautiful and dewy fresh in the morning. And the best part? My acne started to clear up!
Unfortunately, a few months ago I moved from a dry temperate region to a humid sub-tropical region where I am sweating constantly, and now it doesn’t work nearly as well as it did before 🙁 I still use it every now and again, but it’s not an every-night thing for me anymore. But where I was before, this was a HG for me. I’m still crossing my fingers that when the drier winter months roll around, maybe I’ll have a window of success again.

I like this night cream (more gel based when you look at the consistency) but it does leave my face very soft in the morning. Problem though is that I feel like it leaves a film around my skin that won’t sink in. I don’t know if it’s the hyaluronic acid or some other ingredient in it. I do love the scent though, i find it is soothing to the senses at night. It has tiny beads full of vitamin E which is a bonus.

I purchased Neutrogena’s Night Concentrate a couple of weeks ago in order to rehydrate my dull, dry winter skin. It grabbed my attention due to the fact that it contains hyaluronic acid, which draws and holds water in order to moisturise the skin.
The product is textured like a cooling gel, which glides easily into the skin but does not absorb completely, leaving a light film. It contains tiny dark blue balls which dissolve on application – presumably to effect the gradual release of moisture throughout the night.
As to the effects of this product, I was pleasantly surprised – my skin looked significantly more moisturised the morning after. But more surprisingly, it looked more plump and dewy than usual as the day wore on. The furrow lines between my brows also seemed less prominent. My skin looked slightly smoother.
On the down side, some reviewers, myself included, have noted that it causes a slight stinging sensation. However, it has not irritated my sensitive skin, nor has it caused me to break out. I have also heard that in dry climates, hyaluronic acid may draw out the moisture from the skin itself, leading to tightness and dryness. For that reason, it might be wise to use after moisturising or on damp skin.
All in all, I have noticed a difference in my skin after using this cream – fuller and smoother with no more dry patches. Due to its reasonable price of around $20, I would happily repurchase.
