Winter and prescription retinoids have left my face raw and angry. My skin is generally dehydrated and oily, and in the summer and fall I can usually get away with a light moisturizer. After stopping for some foundation and freaking out a salesperson with my flaky, irritated skin, she recommended Tula’s Hydrating Day & Night Cream. I was skeptical (and still am, to some extent), but it does seem to be helping my skin.
Tula claims that the probiotics and superfoods in this will brighten skin, reduce fine lines, and “deliver regenerative hydration overnight.” Basically, it’s a moisturizer, and a heavier one than I usually use. It smells, feels and looks VERY similar to Korres Yoghurt Nourishing Moisturizer, which is a moisturizer I used and liked for several years.
I can’t say that it’s worked miracles for my skin, but I’ve been using this for about 3 weeks now and when I apply it in the morning and at bedtime, I don’t see the flakes and dehydration that drove me to try this. I did miss applying it once and *boom* the flakes were back.
I’m hesitant to give this 5/5 for two reasons: the price (it’s $52 for 1.7 oz) and I’m not convinced that it’s really a super moisturizer–I might just be more disciplined to use it, given the price.
