Honestly, if you have dry skin, don’t buy this product. It does nothing to moisturizer your skin and feels very gel-like on top of your skin. I only use this in the summer time when my face gets a bit oilier and even then I have to apply a heavier moisturizer on top of my dry patches. I’m not sure why they tried to market this towards people with dry skin but it’s extremely misleading and I believe it would work much better for people who need a very light moisturizer. I do give it some points for being hypoallergenic and the pump on the bottle can be twisted shut for travel so that’s a bonus.

I’ve been using this moisturizer alongside the dry skin Spectro cleanser, as a first note.
I don’t find this moisturizer to be a great one as far as combatting dryness, however, I do think it has been working very well as far as helping my skin clear up a bit and fade some of my scars. I don’t have major issues anymore, but I do have quite a few scars and pitting, and get the occasional breakout.
I use this after cleaning my skin (be that at night or after a shower), apply it generously all over my face, let it absorb (which it does very quickly), then apply a second layer of a heavier moisturizer (I actually just use Glysomed hand cream, because it’s heavy enough to keep my super dry forehead and cheeks/chin from flaking). I find this provides a nice barrier between the heavy formula and my skin while still providing the benefits of the salicylic acid.
If I only use this, then my skin feels tight and dry pretty soon after the moisturizer sets in, but I find the double moisturizer approach to be highly effective.
I’m not sure if it’s just my bottle (I bought it for 3$ because it was close to code), but the pump doesn’t work at all so I have to unscrew the lid and gather product from the tube of the lid itself, but hey, that’s not the worst. So I’m docking packaging marks, but that’s just from my experience.

This moisturizer is horrendous. I only bought this because it was at superstore for like eight bucks, but I wouldn’t even pay one for it. It doesn’t moisturize at all. Instead, it leaves a strange, greasy, tacky feeling on my face and doesn’t absorb at all. So when I touch my face it feels sticky, but my actual skin in dry and feels awful underneath that layer of product. Never buying again, I’m so disappointed with this stuff.

I have extra sensitive skin and this product hasn’t given me any trouble. I’m half way through the bottle, and use one pump on my face in the morning. Plus, I add one pump moisturize to one pump of my foundation and mix it together, diluting the foundation. It goes on really smooth, and I don’t get any clumps. I like the look. I’m just grateful I haven’t broken out because of it, so its a keeper for me!

This product is horrible! I got it because it was a decent price and I was trying to find a good lotion for my skin as it can get pretty dry. I put it on like normal lotion and instead of hydrating my skin it felt like I had just put a waxy mask on. Every time I moved my face at all it felt like it was cracking. It got worse when I put my make up on. I just used a bit of foundation and concealer thinking it would be no big deal. It was okay for a bit but than I felt my foundation peeling off a bit at a time in little balls, especially around my chin and jawline. It was like the mask of lotion was falling off and taking the foundation with it. Long story short is that it is the worst “lotion” I’ve ever used.

This product would be great if you don’t have super dry skin- which I do. I gave it three stars because it did not break me out at all but it did not help with my dry skin at all. My skin felt all tight after. Would recommend for not-dry acne-prone skin.

I love this! it leaves my skin soft yet not oily. you have to rub rub rub rub this is though! or else you get ‘wrinkles’ and dry feeling skin.

This review is for the combination skin version. I bought this product on a whim after I couldn’t find my HG Olay lotion at the store. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I actually enjoy this lotion. I have very oily skin, so I need something that will moisturize without making my skin feel greasy. This is it! It feels so light on my skin but it still makes it soft and moist. The packaging is hygenic which is also a huge plus. The only downside to this product is that it doesn’t contain sunscreen like my HG Olay, but it is easy to supplement that with an additional layer of sunscreen. Great product that doesn’t break the bank!

As a loyal Spectro Jel for Blemish-Prone skin user, I was excited to try this. Unscented, short ingredient list, a little bit of SA… But yech!!!!! Felt drying and INCREDIBLY waxy. Looked like I had crazy wrinkles when I smiled. I actually washed it off immediately, and my face instantly looked and felt better. Returning this ASAP.

Simple packaging with an easy to use pump. It has a watery lotion consistency and glides over the skin easily. It dries quickly and leaves a soft finish.
I would not recommend it to people with dry skin or for the winter time since I did feel some tightness after several minutes and had to reapply. Like the other Spectro product, it does have a medicinal smell to it which isn’t so pleasant but it goes away as it dries.
