This is a nice moisturizer overall. It makes my skin look more plump and hydrates it well. I echo the sentiment of the reviewer below about fragrance. It just isn’t needed, although it’s not that strong in this product. Overall it’s a good option for an anti-aging moisturizer. I appreciate that it is in a tube instead of a jar.

This is an okay moisturizer, but I wouldn`t repurchase. I like the ingredient list, but I am not happy that they`ve introduced fragrance. (although it`s not so overwhelming, but really? Why was it necessary at all?!)I don`t have dry skin, but I don`t find this particularly moisturizing, so I wouldn`t recommend it to folks with dry skin. I use it mostly as a day cream. For the price, the quantity is rather small, so I am not so happy with that. I would expect more from French Pharmacie, s`il vous plait.

I’m on the fence about this, I feel like my skintype probably just isn’t suited to this (reactive, extremely sensitive) as it caused hives and irritation with the strong fragrance, but I gifted it to a friend (mature, dry skin) and they loved it- that it smoothed out superficial lines and worked as a primer under make-up, with no irritation at all. So as with all things YMMV and patch test!

Great cream for dry, sensitive skin. Probably best suited for younger ages that have just started showing signs of ageing, rather than more mature skin. I’ve been using it every night for the past couple months, right after The Ordinary Buffet and I wake up with dewy, silky skin. I haven’t seen any anti ageing results, since I’m using this cream to prevent those rather than fight them. Great value for money, at least in Europe, and convenient, lightweight packaging.

An absolute must for anybody concerned about hydration and aging!
LRP says “An intensely hydrating cream that helps plump skin. Reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and improve the quality of skin tone.”
The product is an emulsion that is created in a way that will be able to deliver ample and lasting hydration for many hours after application, yet has a light, pleasant and elegant feel that settles into a very flattering and natural finish on the skin.
This is a true gem!
The product structurally (and also marketing-wise) is very similar to another L’Oreal owned brand, Biotherm Everplump moisturizer (and Skinceuticals Metacell Renewal B3 and Kiehl’s Hydro-Plumping Re-Texturizing Serum Concentrate; both are owned by L’Oreal).
However, the product under the LRP is way superiour to that of Biotherm Everplump and also to Kiehl’s Hydro-Plumping Re-Texturizing Serum Concentrate.
First of all it contains high quantities of Proxylane (Hydroxypropyl Tetrahydropyrantriol), I would guess around 3%, but maybe even as high as 5%. (The only product that contains this amount is Vichy Novadiol Serum at 3% concentration and possibly the Lancome Absolue Bx Serum which is also around 3%. Both brands are owned by L’Oreal and have a higher price point than LRP.)
Proxylane is a patented active developed by L’Oreal in 2006 and has well documented effect on the increase of Glycosaminoglycans that in return will provide hydration and plumper, less lined look. It is a true anti-aging active and only available in products sold under some of the L’Oreal brands.
It also contains two types of Hyaluronic Acid, Adenosine and Panthenol (Vitamin B5) at about 3% concentration.
It does contain fragrance, that is actually very similar to the Hydreane Legere moisturizer, although in noticeably higher quantities.
(Just for comparison’s sake, Biotherm Everplump has 1% Life Plankton extract (Vitreoscilla Ferment) – the signature active in all Biotherm products, some Adenosine and a marine extract in a very low concentration. And a very high amount of fragrance. All this for double the price too. The price is just as high for the Kiehl’s Hydro-Plumping Re-Texturizing Serum Concentrate with even less actives.)
