My skin’s been extra ashy due this winter and a Sephora cast member recommended this to me for my dry, cracked feet. This honey salve has a gritty texture that smooths out to a Vaseline texture and leaves a sheen. Sure it softens the skin by creating a protective layer but in no way does it moisturize or heal.

Recently after a bout of flu and my nose left feeling sore and chapped, I ordered a tube of this online, seeing as a number of the ingredients are very emollient and soothing. All I did was dab a really small amount on 2 or 3 times each day and let it work and heal the area. It works, the chapped area healed up nicely in less than a week, but having now had a sniff of the product I have to admit that it’s probably a good job my nose was too blocked to smell it at the time, as it’s not the nicest of smells! I’m usually a fan of honey scented anything but this is just not like any honey I’ve ever smelt before! Despite that I would purchase again.

My skin runs towards dryness and I am a regular user of prescription tretnoin and a variety of chemical exfoliants. At night, I often complete my routine with a generous later of Aquaphor to seal everything in. Aquaphor is great and cheap. The Farmacy salve is a bit of a level up. I know people complain about the fragrance, but I find it no different than the scent of other products that contain honey extract. Honey agrees with my skin, and while this product is a bit pricey and by no means necessary, I’m enjoying it. If you have dry skin and have had good experiences with honey products in the past and it fits your budget, this is a nice splurge.

I tried this yesterday morning on a face that had HIVES due to WATER. CRAZY I KNOW! But anyhow, it was fine, I think a lot of honey products are good for sensitive skin! However, I did review lots of other Farmacy products below!
WILL NOT REPURCHASE!

I got a sample of this and used it when my lips were dry and nasty. It felt nice and smelled great however after two days of using this my lips weren’t really any better and I broke out along my lips and everywhere else I put this. I’m not sure if castor oil is the culprit (number 1 ingredient).

This is my winter time savior! As it can be a little sticky, I only use it at night time and it glides better on the skin if I apply 3-4 drops of argan oil prior. It is for dry to very dry skin. It soothes and helps to repair skin that is irrited from the cold, wind and inside heat. I am on my 3rd tube. My skin is hyper sensitive and very reactive and I have zero problems with this salve. I have a very sensitive sense of smell and I don’t find the aroma unpleasant. It is not sweet, which I like.

this product smells awful (hint of plastic). i was thinking that it would smell like honey but apparently not. it is moisturizing but i don’t think it’s any better than my beloved Aquaphor so will not repurchase this.

I absolutely agree that this product smells terrible. It’s plastic and honey, like I literally spread microwaved teddy-bear-bottle honey on my face and body. I also find that the smell lingers, but that could be because the product lingers. Always on the hunt for non-greasy moisturizers that sink into the skin quickly, I’m going to keep looking. Wherever this was applied, I noticed the skin stayed shiny for over an hour. It was dry to the touch but there was still oil transfer, especially when used on hands. Even applied lightly the oily texture was too heavy for lips, ime. Farmacy recommends using this as a lip balm, hand or foot lotion, eye cream, elbow salve, brow gel, or irritated skin soother. It was a pretty decent brow gel, but seeing as every other recommendation wasn’t working for me I would not repurchase.

This is my first time trying the Farmacy line. I’m generally not sensitive to smells so most things don’t bother me but wow, this reeks of an awful plastic odor. It doesn’t smell anything like honey. As for the product itself it does the job if you have dry skin like me but it isn’t a crazy miracle worker. Unfortunately I don’t want my face to stink so I’m going to pass on it.

I absolutely despise the scent of this, it’s supposed to be a honey scent but I really hate it. Maybe I don’t like honey scents or maybe they react poorly with my body chemistry but I could not use this at all. Even my husband said I stunk when I used it and he rarely notices these things. It seems to work okay which is why I gave it a 2/5 but I would not repurchase.
