This is one of the best moisturisers I’ve used, and I’ve trialled a lot on my extremely sensitive combination skin. It absorbs quickly and leaves my skin very soft and not at all irritated. I don’t wear makeup every day, but when I do I put this on before my primer and everything seems to go on well over it. I find the scent pleasant, and definitely not overwhelming – I can only smell it for a few minutes after I put it on anyway.

This product is the first MB product I tried. I got it as a sample several months ago, and after using it up, I bought the full-size.
I love this! I might never have purchased it if I had read the ingredient list. I have oily-ish acne-prone skin. Peanut oil is the second ingredient. Also, this is recommended for C-D-S types, and I consider myself mostly O with some C-S. So far, I only use this at night. In the morning my skin glows and my acne is lessened. It is a lotion, not thick, easy to apply and spread.
Pros: skin glows, nice consistency, seems to soothe inflammation, helps with dryness
Cons: none so far
Several reviewers complained of the smell. I did notice the smell a lot in the beginning, but I liked it so it was not an issue. Now I don’t notice it anymore.
After success with this honey moisturizer, I decided to try more MB products, especially the acne-control ones. Some I like, some I hate. I am waiting for more experience with the ones I like to post reviews.

I love this stuff. In Ga we’ve had a colder winter than usual and this saved my skin. I use it for daytime and at night use Josie Maran.

Really nothing special..

I fell in love with my sample so I decided to buy the larger size. People complain of the chemical smell- I think that it’s more “perfumey”- but like it all the same. Overall, not so impressed as I was initially. Still does not prevent drying during the east coast winter. Probably will better better in milder climates. Won’t repurchase.

Mario Badescu’s moisturizers are the first I’ve ever used where they don’t break me out, and I’ve tried several. That is saying a LOT for me. I have combination/normal skin that is acne prone, and for some reason other brands like Clinique, Neutrogena and Murad have causes serious acne in my skin when I’ve tried their moisturizers.
I’d been using the SPF-17 Oil Free moisturizer, also by Mario, when I decided I wanted to try something new. I use honey as a face mask a lot and love it so, knowing that, I picked this out. And I’m so glad I did.
This moisturizes SO well without being greasy at all, doesn’t break me out, soothes and smoothes my skin…. everything. The scent is light and floral, not the best smell ever but certainly not bad, and it doesn’t last very long. A bottle lasts about 6 months for me, and I think Mario Badescu’s prices are very fair for the quality. Basically, I love it, and it’s my go-to moisturizer and the best I’ve ever tried.

I have been using this moisturizer day and night for the past couple weeks, and my skin hasn’t looked more calm or felt so smooth in a long time. I have oily acne-prone skin and this does a wonderful job of moisturizing and soothing my skin from the drying cleanser and treatments I use. This truly helps my skin stay balanced. I love the scent and the light texture, it absorbs almost immediately, and I only need a pea-sized amount to cover my face. Thanks again MB for another dependable skincare product.

OH wow! I can see how celebrities and other people really love this product. I had a deluxe sample of this which I have been using for a week. I love the creamy texture, and quickly absorbed into my skin. I have oily skin, and it does not leave my skin shiny or greasy, but more like matte satiny which is perfect for under makeup. $25 dollars is alot for 2 oz but I would only repurchase if i really really need it.

Sadly, this product made me break out. I have combo to dry skin. I liked the smell and feel of the product, but can’t live with the break outs.

I have fair skin that is sensitive and dry, even during the Los Angeles summers. i purchased this product in May and just ran out of it last week. The smell is great–not too perfumey. I really liked the consistency as it spread nicely over my face. A little bit goes a long way, and it is pretty moisturizing. A lot of reviewers commented how thick it was. I disagree. I used a d/s moisturizer before this one, and I would have to wait a long time for it to absorb. I use mineral makeup, and the thick d/s brands didn’t leave my skin smooth enough to apply the mineral makeup. The Honey moisturizer was overall great, left my skin smooth, wonderful to use under my makeup, and hydrating for longer than just 5 minutes like many d/s brands. But for my dry skin, it was still not hydrating enough. I loved how it felt for the few hours it lasted, but eventually my face felt tight. I used the MB facial spray to help the moisture throughout the day, but still would prefer a moisturizer that will last throughout the day. If I didn’t have dry skin, I would love this product. I’ve been using the hyaluronic moisture for a few days, and absolutely love the results it gives for my dry skin.
