Let me start out by warning you that this stuff is very very grainy. Almost feels like a little bit of fine sand in the formula. It did sound like this it is an issue in some of the jars but not everyone has had an issue with it. otherwise I like the formula, it’s best used in the evening at the end of your routine. I like that this layers quite easily and that it is full of beneficial ingredients. After reading about Melatonin it appears that it can be absorbed topically and it is an antioxidant. There is a study published with some information on topical use of melatonin, I’ll link to it here but please scroll down to the section that says “Melatonin as a Topically Applied Drug”
I plan to try to exchange this jar to hopefully get one that doesn’t have the fine grain/ sandy feel to it. My more detailed video review can be seen here: Y

My skin is loving this! This is my first time trying out a product to sleep in. My skin is significantly calmed when I wake up, my complexion is brighter. I’ve only been using this for a week and I already see my skin benefiting from this product. I happen to like the slight grit to it, almost like a sleep mask rather than just a cream. My skin is crazy sensitive to retinol but the plant based retinol this product features along with the colloidal oatmeal fits my skin just right. My active acne doesn’t get aggravated, my skin feels soothed, as the product advertises. I love the multiple benefits that normally I’d need multiple products to have. The smell doesn’t bother me, I think it’s earthy and I like that there isn’t any crazy fragrance additions to try to make it more “appealing”. Will definitely continue to use this!

lol, Sephora deleted my review for being too “honest”. All the reviews on their site for this are fake. They are deleting negative and the positive are all written the same and the accounts have only one review… This really is the only place to go for unfiltered reviews. Anyway, on to the cream I was super intreated in this launch mostly because of the melatonin I wondered if it would maybe help me sleep. I don’t think it did. This product seems like it’s a lab sample. It’s very gritty which I don’t totally mind because I do like the effect it feels super unrefined and strange like a face scrub I would prefer it to be smooth… It has four dyes to make it green which is totally unnecessary. It does have a funny smell but that does not bother me as it is natural and goes away… this product does not contain added fragrance so I can definitely live with it. Finally, while I would still take this in the current packaging over a jar, the pump is awkward it’s not big enough and hard to get the product out. I think this product needs a bit of fine tuning seems like a rushed launch to get in on the coming CBD/HEMP fad. I’m not sure I notice any effect from the high 2% retinol. All that said I don’t think this is a bad product it’s not ineffective I do think my skin feels calm while using the problem is it’s not a pleasure to use. **** I ended up returning was also not very moisturizing.
