This has a very unfortunate texture. When I try to apply this on damp skin this clumps up and does not want to spread. It is also not particularly moisturizing, although that is not so terrible in the summer. This offers moderate protection, but I have many other daytime creams that I prefer to use that moisturize and protect.

I got this as part of a 5-piece trial size kit. I have never tried a worse moisturizer: thick, really sticky and difficult to spread, causing me to pull on my skin which over time would increase wrinkles and worst of all- titanium dioxide leaves the brightest blue tint to my already very fair skin. It would only be worse on skin with any color to it. Pity, some of the other products are ok but this is a definite no.

Tried this on the back of my hand at ULTA and did not like the feel nor the texture. Too heavy for me. Glad I could try it so I knew not to purchase it. Had a fruity scent.

I received a deluxe sample of this (0.5 oz, 15 ml) and have been using it for about a week.
I find that it smells like Lemon Pledge, which is not something I want in a body lotion. I’ve been using it on my hands and arms since having the smell on my face gives me a headache. Also, I’m hoping I can use it up faster and throw away the tube.
The texture of the sunscreen is thick and not very moisturizing. Usually higher SPF = thicker texture, but in this case there is the worst of both worlds. It also leaves a very noticeable white cast that takes a while to fade. Will not be purchasing.

Juice Beauty’s SPF 15 Green Apple Moisturizer is a “multi-tasking, lightweight daily moisturizer that combines chemical free, broad spectrum sun protection with age defying peptides, DMAE, alpha liporic acid, Co Q10, and organic fruit antioxidants to revitalize and protect for optimum age defying benefits.” This moisturizer is formulated for all skin types, but isn’t recommended for those with sensitive skin. This moisturizer supposedly contains a slew of natural fruit and plant ingredients, the benefits of each is thoroughly explained on Juice Beauty’s website. This moisturizer is supposed to be “effective for hyper pigmentation, dark spots, and uneven skin tone and texture.” Juice Beauty products are not tested on animals, in fact, this brand has an extensive set of “Eco Values”. Juice Beauty purchases most ingredients locally, many of them certified organic. Juice Beauty products are made in the USA. Green Apple Moisturizer is a 2011 In Style Best Beauty Buy winner. I received a .5fl oz (15ml) sample in my July Glam Bag. The full 1.7fl oz retails for a very pricey $38. Juice Beauty products are available on the brand’s website, or in store at Ulta.
Packaging for the sample size of Green Apple Moisturizer is pretty appealing. A white squeeze tube with grey screw on cap. The Juice Beauty logo is grey and bright green – the color of a green apple. The front of the tube also features the name of the product and a little “certified organic ingredients” emblem. The back of the tube features lots of info, ingredients, descriptions, warnings, the works. The text is really little though. The tube, as you can expect from an eco-friendly company, is recyclable. The full size packaging is quite different, it appears to be a bottle with a pump and actually looks quite fancy.
Green Apple has a thick texture, like sunscreen; if I didn’t know any better I’d have thought this was meant to be just a facial sunscreen, not a moisturizer. It’s not very emollient at all. It’s difficult to apply because it’s thick, dry, pasty formulation. This moisturizer takes a while to sink in. You really need to rub it in well, or your face will have an unflattering white cast to it. Juice Beauty’s Green Apple Moisturizer isn’t good for the eye area, in my opinion, it’s a little too heavy. This stuff gets in my crease and creases. Have you ever had a moisturizer crease on you before? Cause I’m pretty sure that’s unheard of. Not winning me over in the application department, it’s a little difficult to work with.
Do the results make up for the poor application? Not really. It hasn’t really helped my uneven skin tone or texture, and it didn’t deliver any anti-aging benefits, not that I was looking for them. Then again, I’ve only been using Green Apple for two weeks today, probably not enough time for it to actually be beneficial. Green Apple Moisturizer isn’t very moisturizing. At first it gives a light amount of hydration, but after a couple minutes my skin starts feeling rubbery and strange. After the rubberiness wears off 10-15 minutes later, my skin feels quite soft, but not very quenched.
Juice Beauty’s Green Apple Moisturizer has a strong, perfumey scent. It’s a nice scent, but it’s too strong for a facial moisturizer, it’d be more suited for a body lotion. The scent kinda reminds me of Apple Jacks cereal. It smells like fake green apples with a twist of lemon. Pleasant, refreshing, I’d just rather it not be on my face. The scent lingers for about 10 minutes after application. Annoying.
Juice Beauty’s Green Apple Moisturizer is a product I wanted to love. Really, I was so excited about getting this in my Glam Bag. I thought it was going to be my favorite item of the month. I was really let down. The texture is too much like a sunscreen and not enough like a moisturizer. The scent is really nice, just not for the type of product it is. I’d call Green Apple softening as opposed to moisturizing. “Juice Beauty’s Green Apple Facial Softener” sounds good, I think. On an up note, packaging is lovely. I definitely won’t be purchasing a full size of this product, though I probably wouldn’t even if I loved it, I just don’t have an extra $40 in my budget for a moisturizer with mediocre results. I wouldn’t recommend it, I don’t find it effective enough to justify the price, but try it if a sample is ever offered to you.

UPDATE: NOT A FAN ANY MORE. KEPT GETTING BLACKHEADS ON THE NOSE, NOT BREAKOUTS, BUT STILL GROSS. MY SKIN WAS LOOKING OLDER AND OLDER. NOW I AM USING NEUTROGENA HEALTHY SKIN WITH GLYCOLIC AND SPF 15 AND AM SHOCKED BY THE DIFFERENCE IN QUALITY AND PRICE!!
Most moisturizers break me out and this one is actually safe. Phew. Smells soooooooo good and I like that I am putting organic ingredients on my skin. You can definitely feel the glycolic in here, but I think that with time my skin will get used to it. This one is good for sensitive, acne prone skin concerned with uneven tone and aging.

I got this as a sample at Sephora when I went in to find a really nutrient packed moisturizer for my face. I have been using it for over 2 weeks now and I love it. No breakouts, no issues, and I think it smells fine. I will be purchasing this as soon as I use up my sample. I really wanted to invest in something healthy for my skin, so I decided this is the product. I can’t say if it helps with wrinkles or anything like that, but I can say that my skin looks good, to the point a friend asked me what I have been using on my face and went out and bought it the next day. Because of that, I am going to have to keep this product in stock, because it is obviously working well.

This is the first SPF product that I could actually tolerate. I did not want to use any chemical sunscreens because apparently they are not very stable and could actually produce free radicals. What I like about this product is that it does not dry my skin out. It leaves it nice and moist. It smells like lemon when you first apply it, but the smell disappears in minutes. And finally, there is no SPF STINK….no white residue on your skin. I think it’s a bit pricey, but I can tell that it will last me for at least 3-4 months. I would use this during spring / summer time.

Best non-chemical sunscreen I’ve tried so far. Unlike the other tinted, terrible-smelling, non-moisturisinf tinted moisturizer by Juice Beauty, this one has a pleasant smell, light, easily absorbed texture and an adequate amount of moisture for summer days. They have to change the packaging ASAP but other than that, highly recommended for skins that aren’t too dry or too oily.

Love this product! I’ve been searching for an organic moisturizer that also has spf and this is it! I have extremely acne-prone skin. If my skin doesn’t like a new product, it immediately breaks out. My skin has actually never looked better and those fine little lines that have started to appear as I get close to 30 are gone! The only con is that my skin is a tad shiner then it used to be, but a little dab of Mac Blot powder in the morning and I’m good to go for the rest of the day. At $38, it is a bit expensive but it’s worked better than any other product Ive tried. Next I’m going to purchase the serum for nighttime and the eye cream as well!
