I had high hopes for this product as the majority of reviews are positive, but it has broken me out! I have been using it for about two weeks and never before have I had so much acne. I have not changed any other products in my skincare routine at this time. Also, it is a very light moisturizer. It may be good if you live in a humid climate, but for a Canadian winter it is not hydrating.

I find this moisturizing cream very hydrating and refreshing, with its gel-cream texture. It has a fruity smell like grape juice which may bother some people but it doesn’t linger too long. Even if I layer the cream on thickly it absorbs well and leaves my skin silky in the morning, but I don’t have super dry skin, mostly dehydrated. I suppose the jar packaging is not ideal if you want to preserve the antioxidants and other good stuff it contains but I use it mainly for its moisturizing properties so am not too bothered by that. The ingredients are very similar to the fruit stem cell serum from the same line which has a more liquid texture. That product comes in a pump bottle so you can layer the two and get the benefit of the antioxidants from the serum.

This is a gentle, basic all natural moisturizer. While it does include some impressive antioxidant ingredients, I call this a “basic” moisturizer because these active ingredients basically useless after opening due to the air exposure from the jar packaging. I didn’t notice any brightening effects or smoothing of fine lines. I also don’t find this near moisturizing enough for my normal to slightly dry skin. Five minutes after application my skin occasionally feels still a bit patched, requiring a layer of something else.

The pros: it is a safe product with natural ingredient, available for a decent price, and smells great
The cons: the jar packaging is not hygienic or ideal for preventing deterioration and I also did not find this nearly moisturizing enough for my normal skin – five minutes after I apply it I feel I need a second layer as my skin still feels tight

Got this on closeout for $8 at Meijer. Their products usually come with a $2 and sometimes a little mirror as well. I felt this is a quality product for my dry aging skin. Like the previous reviewer mentioned it is hydrating without being greasy and made my skin soft without irritation. If you need something more hydrating, check out the age defying night cream which I also love. Wish instead of jars they would use sanitary squeeze tubes. Can get this at whole foods but when it’s not on sale can be a bit pricey. I wait for sales and use my coupons. Andalou makes some quality products that I like even better than more expensive brands. Dry aging skin approved! 🙂

After three months of use, I saw no improvements in the appearance of my skin. No fine lines had diminished, and my complexion worsened—the direct opposite of Andalou’s claims. My face looked somewhat gooey and my tone became uneven. This cream may have even contributed to my breakouts. Its consistency is neither rich nor thick. $25 is not the most one can spend on a face cream, but I urge others to save their money for a more effective product.

I have just finished up my first jar and it has lasted me almost 12 months! I applied it nightly as the last step in my skin care routine, over either a serum or rosehip oil (I alternate). It smells divine (slightly citrusy), a little goes a long way (a few dots on forehead, cheeks, chin and neck/chest), spreads easily and leaves my skin soft, soft, SOFT! When I wake up in the morning, my skin still felt super soft, and hydrated. Over the several months I used it, I noticed considerable improvement in the overall tone and texture of my skin. My skin is usually very dry (I never use powder or get oily during the day), and, shall we say, not as plump as it once was (that’s what happens in your 40s ladies, gravity catches up to you!) Since using this cream (and other products from the Andalou Naturals line), although my lower face is starting to point downwards i.e. I am slowly losing my jawline :(, my skin looks smoother, much more even toned and has a natural glow to it (as in, when the light touches my face, my bare face without any makeup, it looks like I am wearing highlighter as the light reflects off the cheekbones, which as a dry skinned gal, I LOVE!!!)
I recently purchased the Resveratrol Q10 Night Repair Cream to try since I am also starting to have some fine lines and wrinkles to deal with), but I will likely pick up the Super Goji Peptide cream again and alternate between that one and the Resveratrol one. My skin loves it and it looks healthier as a result, what more could you ask for?

Like the 1000 Roses Heavenly Night Cream, this has that wonderful gel-cream consistency that I enjoy applying. It feels good going on, and my skin drinks it up. My face doesn’t look oily after several minutes of wearing this, but feels plump. I can wear it under my SPF moisturizer without it feeling too heavy. The problem I have with this, is that it started breaking me out. Not sure what ingredient caused it, but I can’t wear it on my face….with the exception of my eyes! Since the Andalou Naturals rep said you could use their moisturizers for more than one purpose, and since I liked their 1000 Roses Heavenly Night Cream as an eye cream as well, I decided to try this on my eyes. I apply it on top of their Luminous Eye treatment, and it helps with hydration and sometimes with puffiness; but didn’t really notice a difference with the few fine lines that I have under my eyes. (On really bad days, where I only get 2-3 hours of sleep, nothing helps.) But as a facial moisturizer, it’s a no-go for me. For reference, I have dehydrated/oily-combo, hormonal/cystic acne prone skin.

I loved this at first, left me moisturized and glowing. Unfortunately I started breaking out pretty badly from it.

It’s hard to get natural cosmetics that are also incredibly effective and that contain cutting edge active ingredients. I’ve been using this moisturizer for several weeks and love everything about it. The texture spreads easily, isn’t greasy -just creamy and absorbs within a minute of massaging it in my skin. It smells great, fruity, and doesn’t linger anyway… for those who aren’t into it.
But most importantly, it performs. It keeps my combination skin (dry/flaky, normal & oily) evenly moisturized, smoothes out fine dehydration lines, doesn’t cause pores to clog or breakouts, helps heal skin. I wake up to a refreshed and hydrated face, and over time my skin has been more balanced, almost normal all over. It works perfectly under sunscreen and makeup, somehow it’s creaminess doesn’t make it heavy, oily, and doesn’t cause my skin to suffocate underneath.
Perfect! And the price is right too. So I’m definitely going to repurchase, which is saying a lot, since I like trying new things.
Oh, I don’t mind the packaging. I always use it with clean hands, and I’ll use this up within a few months, especially because my boyfriend loves it just as much.
