This is so so good. This feels very similar to PTR Glycolic acid mositurizer I used to use years ago, but this is even stronger at 15% compared to PTR’s 10%. My main skin concerns are dry patches, anti-aging and occasional acne. I use it every other day alternating with my Tazorac and this routine works very well for me. My face feels smooth, plump and glowy. It’s only 1.4 oz, but you only need a tiny bit because it spreads very well. I’ve used mine for 2 months so far and I haven’t even finished half of it. Highly recommend this if you’re looking for a chemical exfoliant in your routine.

I’ve been using Neostrata products for over a year now, and think this moisturizer / treatment may have gone by a different name a short while ago (Level 3?). Either way, this product is an excellent value and is a staple in my evening routine.
Packaging: comes in a small tube, easy to dispense.
Price: $45 for 1.4 ounces, comparable to a 10% solution I was using from Peter Thomas Roth. This is also where I spend my money in my skin care routine; my normal day / night moisturizers are CeraVe cream and PM lotion.
Product: This is a 15 AHA, so if you are new to this type of product, it may be best to start with something a little less potent. Neostrata makes a 10 lotion, as does PTR. (Note: I have reviewed both.)
In addition to being a stronger formulation, what I absolutely love about this compared to Neostrata’s smoothing lotion is that this product HAS NO SCENT. You’ll see this is a running theme in most of my reviews; I am willing to look past how products smell if I feel they are a good value and do a good job, but usually end up applying them wistfully. (“I would really love this if it didn’t smell so strange!”) I tried PTR’s AHA precisely due to this issue with Neostrata’s level 2 smoothing cream; while it worked, it smells like hair bleach. PTR’s product has a much milder smell, but it’s still present–stuffy, like grandma. I also didn’t feel that PTR’s product was as effective as the Neostrata cream, so after using up that tube, I got some samples of this. I was so surprised to find that this is completely scentless. Score a big plus one for Neostrata.
In addition to being scent-free, this stuff is the real deal when it comes to anti-aging, texture / clarity issues, and removing dull skin. As I’m not new to AHA’s, I was not so worried about this being painful to use, but I can definitely feel the difference for a short while after applying a 15% versus a 10%. As of now, I’m only using every other night, but the difference in the feel and texture of my skin has been immediate and apparent. I follow up with a mild night lotion (CeraVe PM). My skin looks and feels brighter, clearer and smoother. A+ and a definite keeper. Let’s just hope they don’t decide to change this in the near future.
