Expensive? Yep. The most $$$$$ oil I have ever purchased. But I think it’s worth it. I use it when my skin is feeling really dry or when I’m in the mood for a little treat. A dab on my cheeks (where I get the driest) and I let it soak in for a few minutes, then spread what hasn’t absorbed over the rest of my face. Oh, and the smell… it is divine. The lavender overpowered the blend when I first got it but it has mellowed out and now I can pick up the other oils and together smells delicious. This is not for anyone who has problems using essential oils on their face. The glass bottle is luxurious (as is all of the jars from Bobbi’s extra line).

I have tried many products that claim to be formulated for dry skin, but have always been disappointed. Most recently I tried argon oil, which once again disappointed, so I was hesitant to try another oil product — especially at this steep price. However, I’m pleasantly surprised to find that this product works significantly better than the argon oil at reducing redness and flaky skin on my face. My only complaint is the fragrance, which is a bit strong. I dislike the smell of patchouli (always have), so I would have preferred a mellower scent. Overall, a very good buy.

I got a full sized sample from a collegue of mine. Thinking because she gave this to me, that this was some kind of cheap product she wasn’t interested in. Imagine my shock when I googled this product online and read the reviews and the price. oh my goodness, i was floored. Included this as part of my skin care routine immediately. Though because i have oily skin and already moisturize, i don’t use this everyday. I may use this every other day, at night after cleansing, exfoliation, and toning. I put this on right before applying a moisturizer (yes, i still do). And the results are amazing. my skin looks smoother, my pores are smaller. And dare i say it, it controls my natural oils! Cons, i don’t necessarily care for the scent or the packaging. Luckily this one came with a dropper so that makes it easy but the glass bottle is so fragile. I’ve already dropped this a few times but luckily, no damage. I a now past the mid way mark of using this product and this is yet another something i will have to purchase. Its worth it.

I just tried it in a sample and not only i didn’t like the scent… But my face turned red. The Lancome Bienfait Multivital face oil is awesome and it’s approximately $50.00.

This oil is quite heavily scented, most notably with patchouli and lavender. It’s a lovely fragranced oil and as such well suited as a body oil for dry areas or as a massage oil. But for the face I would not recommend this at all for the simple reason that essential oils can be irritants and many are well-known photosensitizers. The packaging is lovely looking but not very practical for travel because it’s thick glass, hence bulky and heavy. Also, the lid tends to leak if the bottle is not kept upright. Overall, at this price – $63 before tax for 1oz/30ml – there are better options available for fragranced body oils as well as unscented face oils which this is marketed as.

Extra Face Oil is part of the Extra Repair line, designed for those with dry to severely dry skin or anyone who wants something “EXTRA” in the winter.
Extra Face Oil contains four carrier plant oils in the form of Olive, Sesame, Sweet Almond and Jojoba, along with Tocepherol Vitamin E and then four essential oils, Neroli, Patchouli, Lavender and Sandalwood.
For the price your paying and the amount your getting this is absolutely extortionate. You are simply paying for the brand name and luxurious glass packaging, which by the way couldn’t be more cumbersome. You have to really make sure the top is screwed on properly otherwise this will spill, especially when travelling. Consider the Extra face oil to go if you like this product.
You can easily buy these oils and mix them yourself, no need to fork out this much for such an average face oil. By the way nothing in this is unique for the face, it can be used anywhere, body, hair, cuticles etc.
The fragrance is a bit of a problem for me, no other Estee Lauder owned line uses as much fragrance as much as Bobbi Brown, (no wait maybe Origins does too), they use essential oils to fragrance their product which to me while they are natural can be just as irritating as synthetic fragrance. Also some essential oils are photo toxic, not all, some and can react negatively with sunlight. I would use this as a night treatment oil or on hands or body parts that are parched. I know Bobbi Brown for a fact likes to layer this under her Extra Repair balm, for the days when you need extra treatment to combat dryness.
I received this as a gift so definitely wouldn’t consider purchasing this though it does look lovely on my vanity. 😛
Average essential oil blend with four carrier oils, messy packaging, cumbersome, overprices and may irritate those with sensitive skin.

I’m not sure what possessed me to try this particular face oil, but I shouldn’t have. I have sensitive skin that is prone to flushing, and the heavy fragrance in this made my face beet red. I also just don’t understand why there is so much fragrance in a product intended for the face. Who wants a smelly face?

For this price Bobbi Brown needs to give it a pump. Also this list doesn’t include the parabens it contains in the ingredient list on this site but on the box it includes these parabens: Butylparaben, Isobutylparaben, Isopropylparaben
The problem is that we all need ot be aware of what ingredients we put on our faces not just look at famous names and jump right in. 3 parabens is way too many. Besides vitamin e is a long lasting preservatives for oils and everything else, she could have just used that and made it even better. Everyone says parabens aren’t bad but if you add up all the parabens in all your products you’re pretty toxic on the inside.I’m no big advocate for naturals but so many parabens is getting ridiculous.

I love love this face oil!!! I have been using this about 2 years..I have combination skin. This makes my skin so soft and not greasy.. My only complaint would be the bottle itself.. It has a tendency to fill in the cap and run down the bottle. But I can’t live without this . I use it twice a day .. The scent is incredible!! Thanks Bobbi!:)😚

I do not like this product. I have very dry skin and thought this would help with the dryness. However it made me break out a little which it’s very rare for me. Very awkward to apply as it doesn’t come with a dropper and the opening is big. My husband finds use with it on his mosquito bites.
