This sunscreen dried my skin out and made me break out into bumps. When I contacted QV they said they aren’t required by the TGA to label all ingrediants. I think this is terrible. A consumer is entitled to know all ingrediants they are using on their skin.

I had hoped that this would be my hg moisturiser and sunscreen in one. Unfortunately, it’s not. I used this daily under make up for 2.5 weeks. It didn’t feel very moisturising despite it being marketed for dry skin. In fact, my skin started to get dry by the end of the test period when I decided to stop using it.
The pro is that it uses the new uv filters – tinosorb and works fine under make up.
The con is that it’s not very moisturising and has a bad chemical smell.

EGO QV Moisturising Day Cream SPF 30+ is the only sunscreen available from the EGO QV Face collection.
It is a sunscreen with an SPF + Factor of 30+ which really has the feel of a traditional moisturiser than that of a thick sunscreen which is lovely so you can be liberal without feeling you have a heavy layer of gunk all over your face.
The ingredient listing is nowhere to be seen as in Australia where this product is sold the TGA Therapeutic Goods Administration don’t require companies to provide the full ingredient listing of sunscreens. I don’t know why this is so everyone should have the right to know what they are putting on their skin and the full ingredient listings should be there to be seen.
After an email inquiry I was given a reply which stated that this day cream is primarily consisted of mineral oil, white paraffin, Petrolatum, Safflower oil and generous amounts of Niacinamide.
Please don’t be afraid of Mineral oil, Paraffin or Petrolatum, they are perfectly harmless ingredients which have been used in cosmetics for well over 100 hundred years and with safety track record.
Since most of EGO Pharmaceuticals products is formulated for sensitive, reactive compromised skins mineral oil and petrolatum are just the ingredient to restore a healthy barrier function, maintain skin’s integrity, reduce epidermal water loss significantly and maintain the skins’ overall hydration with adding superfluous ingredients like fragrance, essential oils or irritating ingredients.
This is a perfect day cream for all seasons of the year, it moisturises beautifully without feeling heavy and is a perfect base for your make-up if it doesn’t have SPF in them already. I would definitely repurchase this and recommend it wholeheartedly to those looking for an effective budget friendly day cream with SPF 30+. An excellent, simple, budget friendly overall day cream at a fantastic price.
The only those who should stay away from this product are the very oily or combination to oily skins.
Well Done QV!

I had so much faith in the QV brand because I’ve been using their other products for my sensitive/eczema-prone skin since young and they work for me. Should have trusted the bad reviews on this product. The cream irritated my face and made it really itchy. I’m disappointed.

If it ain’t broke, why fix it? This used to be my HG sunscreen – felt lovely on my sensitive skin, moisturising, easy to spread, no irritation, and very protective against UV – before around 2014, when at some point it was reformulated. Ever since they changed the ingredients I’ve been having issues with it.
The first time they changed it It caused stinging for the first few minutes upon application. They recently changed it again, and now it smells weird and is harder to spread. But the worst is it makes my skin itch when I’m out in the sun…
Unless the next reformulation is back to the original, I will not repurchase this, and cannot recommend it to people with sensitive skin!

I am always on the hunt for a good sunscreen. My skin became sensitive recently when I foolishly used a glycolic acid product on my skin for a couple of weeks. I say foolishly, because my skin has reacted badly to aha’s in the past. QV consistently gets good ratings, and the only reason I have not used it in the past is because it used to contain octyl methocinnamate, an ingredient my skin is sensitive to. The cream was reformulated last year. According to both my tube, and the QV website these are now the active ingredients:
ACTIVES (w/w): Methylene Bis-Benzotriazolyl tetramethylbutylphenol 2.5%, Bemotrizinol 1.8%.
The good: decent price, no white cast, no irritating ingredients.
The bad: possibly too rich for my skin in warmer weather, fairly low concentration of active ingredients and no added antioxidants.
For that last point – no added antioxidants. QV are making products specifically for people with sensitive skin, and while I would like added antioxidants, it makes sense for QV to leave them out.
It is winter where I live, and this feels just about right for my skin given the weather, but I’m sure it will be too rich for my skin during summer. Although my skin is getting drier now I’ve hit menopause, I still have large pores, perspire a lot in warmer weather, and get clogged pores and pimples quite easily. For people with dry, sensitive skin, or with conditions like exczema this is a great option.
It comes in two tube sizes, 75gm and 150gm. I purchased the 150gm and from memory it cost me just over $20. I have ticked that I will repurchase but I’m fickle when it comes to sunscreen so that may change.

I’m gonna be straight forward-
Does not irritate sensitive skins, does not clog pores, can be used alongside retin A and doxycycline treatments, I had no breakouts, Can replcae most of the high end sunscreens, cheap price comparing to what it does, simple packaging, no unnecessary ingredients such as perfumes and parabens, it’s ideal for olive skinned people too and doesn’t cause a white cast just a healthy glowing skin.
Will stick to this as long as possible.

Started using this once I began using doxycycline for my moderate acne as the drug makes your skin more sensitive to sun. I have had red and irritated acne for years and have not used sunscreen (unless extremely necesssry) on my face as it always breaks me out. When getting my prescription for doxy, the pharmacist recommended this moisturiser as it is good for sensitive skin and non comedogenic (won’t block pores). I thought I’d give it a go as he gave me free samples, and it has never broken me out. It is wonderful. My skin feels so smooth and it is super moisturising. A little bit also goes a long way. I have used it alongside the QV gentle cleanser. The QV range has helped to save my skin along with doxy and benzac ac gel 🙂

Attention! this product changed integredents, from great to awful! everytime I use it the first 3 minutes my face burns!!! why? qv why do you change the formula? the previous one was good! but the new formula dispointing me! I don’t think it is for sensitive skin anymore!

I just ran out of my first tube and this thing is soooo good. Feels like there’s nothing on my skin. I use it after my face wash and mainly before bed. I use ALOt of it cuz I like my skin to be moisturized before bed and when I wake up honestly there’s no oil going on. Not to mention I have an oily T-zone. Will repurchase.
