I got the one with the SPF. It’s a good moisturiser, it does not make my face shine. Despite using it for a whole year, it did not lighten my dark spots. But as a day cream, it’s very good.

Like my review of the oil-free High Potency night cream, this is my day moisturizer as I got the one with the SPF 30. Smells mildly like orange, has the thicker consistency as it does has the SPF. But it’s been good to my skin so far, oil-free really is the way to go for my skin and this moisturizer just doubled its advantages with the SPF. Every time I apply it, my skin feels brightened and I’ve broken out less. Definitely a keeper and re-purchase for me, do not get rid of this please! 🙂

This my holy grail product! Before using this product my face was dry and itchy, and when I tried to put makeup over the dry patches it would look even worse. No exfoliate products worked and I was becoming really anxious to heal my dry patches, finally I went to sephora and was recommended this, this product smells like oranges and it doesn’t break me out because I acne prone, your makeup glides right on and you can use this for morning and night! I don’t think I will ever buy another moisturizer because this works so we’ll

(This review is for the Dr Weil for Origins Mega-Bright moisturiser – not the serum)
I first discovered this moisturiser in sample form from an Origins employee after telling her all about my awkward skin – sensitive, combination and with redness. I would never usually buy anything labelled as ‘illuminating’ as it made me think my skin would end up coated in oil & make me shinier than a Christmas tree. Since my current moisturiser was a little over-scented for my liking I decided to give it a go.
This product has a gorgeous consistency – very lightweight, translucent and absorbs into the skin in a matter of seconds. Skin instantly feels softer and hydrated. The scent is a very light, pleasant ‘earthy’ smell much like most Origins products.
After purchasing the full size 50ml tub and using the product for 2 months, it really has made a wonderful difference to my skin. It is so much more hydrated, radiant, softer and is noticeably less red. I’m even happy to go out without makeup on occasion, something I would have never considered before due to the redness around my nose. I’m amazed what a visible difference it’s made.
The only negatives? The price – £46 for 50ml is a little steep and far more than I’ve ever spent on one product, but it’s worth it for the difference it makes to my skin and that only a tiny amount is needed every day. Also it would be great if the product came in a pump bottle rather than a tub – I really don’t want to drop it and waste everything!
In summary, this is a must-try for anyone with redness, combination skin and/or sensitivity to balance and calm the skin. Although I normally only buy drugstore products, I’ll continue to repurchase it for as long as it keeps my skin looking and feeling soft, balanced and radiant.
