I received this as a gift with purchase (even though it says it’s been discontinued, it is still being sold). Goo ingredients list… There’s no point to rant about the jar, you know it’s a jar. I suppose the purpose of these reviews is to share our honest experience of the product. Nonetheless,I found this gave me a shiny face. It seems the formula has a shiny finish to impart a fresh face look but I think they went overboard. My skin is normal/combination or combination/oily depending on skincare, weather, etc. This is definitely too greasy for me, even in the winter. It gave me pimples on my otherwise clear skin with just 4 uses. Even though that could also be my skin rebelling against the sunscreen ingredients. Will have to use it up on my neck. Thank goodness it’s just 15 ml.
Overall I think this is an overpriced moisturiser. It might be good for drier skins but I think it’s too heavy for its intended skin types.

I tried a sample and was really impressed seeing the ingredient list. The difference on my skin was visible. One morning my husband said ‘wow, your face is glowing’. Lovely, fresh smelling cream although expensive. Great for when you decide your skin needs a treat.

I originally posted a rather scathing review of this day cream – I have the one with SPF 25 and felt it was far too oily for my already oily skin. But now my skin has changed for the better (a tad less oily) and I have adopted the ‘less is more’ approach, I have to say this cream now works perfectly for me. I only use it occasionally but I am amazed. My skin is glowing and I don’t need to blot with powder until well after lunchtime, a first for me these days. I may well re-purchase.

This cream was part of the free gift purchases. It smells like cucumber and has a slight green tint to it. It makes my skin so so soft and silky right before my makeup application. It doesn’t leave my skin oily or shinny as other creams would.

I had received a sample of this product as part of a promotional gift bag and was skeptical of using it because of all the hullaballoo about the sunscreen content causing breakouts. After using the product everyday for a week, I have found my new daytime moisturizer (leaving the Verite creme for night time use instead). The daywear moisturizer was light weight (with a mild, pleasant scent) that was quickly absorbed by my skin and did not cause the BB creme to streak. The moisturizer was comfortable to wear and did not disturb my makeup throughout the day. Will definitely purchase when the sample runs out.

I’ve combination skins but somehow this product made my t-zone even oilier. I used this before my oil-free laura mercier tinted moisturizer and after 2-3 hours I could feel my skin starting to get oily. I stopped using this during the day and my tinted moisturizer stayed well the whole day. Now I just use this on my neck at night.

I just started using this 9 days ago. I only use it in the morning. It came in a gift set and I decided to try it out. I love it! It hasn’t made me break out at all. It smells great and feels nice on the skin. My skin is less oily with it. I know pots are supposed to be bad and the ingredients loose their potency allegedly, but I kind of like them. I also love Estee Lauder because they were one of the first make up companies to stop animal testing. I use several products from them now. I just started using them almost exclusively a year ago and my skin is better with few break outs and a more even toned look. I use the Advanced Night Repair as well and it gets rid of any break outs I may get. This is a bonus with the SPF as well! Worth a trip to the States to get more (prices are way better than in Canada).

I have the worst skin. Although it produces an excessive amount of sebum, it also tends to get very flaky, sore and powders tend to cake up on me no end. Naturally, I have been unable to find a moisturizer that is about to combat both personalities that my skin has taken on. I got a small jar of this as a free gift with purchase and I’ve fallen totally inlove with it. It’s the only product that I can actually call a holy grail. It smells so fresh, like cucumbers and it sinks into you skin very quickly. It removes the issues I have with the dryness and actually stops my skin from getting so oily. I have no idea how. The only gripe I have is that a full jar of this is £33. Although it isn’t an obcene amount of money, I have a baby on the way and it’s not an amount that I can easily find and justify spending on myself. Instead I have resorted to saving small amounts of cash here and there to get enough because no other cream I have found can even compare. I need this in my life forever.

I am surprisingly impressed by this product as i’ve had ridiculous experiences with EL products in the past, Rashes, itching,breakouts you name it. I believe this was a gift with purchase and i very apprehensively tried it one day after running out of my usual moisturiser. I can honestly say, after using this for a couple of months that this is one of the best day moisturises for my combination sensitive skin. The spf is a bonus, I have even been using this as a night cream for a while and it works perfectly fine. I was worried about clogging as i’m pretty partial to it but it has been fantastic.
I only apply a very thin layer to my face and it gives me just enough moisture but no shinyness or residue left on the skin. I also have redness around the nose and the cheeks naturally and i feel that it somewhat helps with that, but only slightly – you can’t expect miracles! This might have to do with the light greenish tinge of the cream, but it does have a soothing sensation and smells absolutely lovely – like cucumbers but its pleasant, not overpowering at all. The best thing about it is that it doesn’t irritate my skin at all even when it is extra sensitive. I like how it has antioxidants but anti-ageing isn’t my primary worry so thats perfectly fine. I feel like it does more than your average moisturiser, and it does feel slightly luxurious on the skin. The price point is definitely an improvement from some of the other overpriced and completely useless products i’ve have tried, I’d say it’s a mid range price. Estee Lauder is pretty good about giving samples so if you’re looking for a good day cream check out one of the counters. I have a lot of trouble with moisturisers so I’m so glad I found this!

I have really dry skin and its really hard for me to find a moisturizer that will actually work for me. all other moisturizers i use only kept my skin hydrated for about an hour and this kept it nice and soft all day. I love this. I will definitely be buying again
