I have normal to oily skin with REALLY dry under eye area with really thin skin. Being 31 I have started developing tiny lines there because of all that dryness.
Every single cream I have used just gets absorbed into my undereye immediately with skin craving for more. This cream however provides a way longer nourishing and moisturising effect without being a disgusting mess.
I also am a kind of girl that a lot of times won’t bother applying different cream on my face and under eyes so this is good because it doesn’t clog my pores and even having combo skin I can still use it in Russian summer daytime under makeup, with some setting powder. The skin looks really refreshed and glowy, there is really something nourishing in that cream.
Cons – the jar packaging. Don’t get me wrong, it looks nice and luxurious in my bathroom, but getting stuff out of it is not easy, especially wasn’t when I had long nails.
Caution: this stuff is VERY thick and a bit sticky so if you’re a lightweight moisturiser only kind of girl, steer clear.

I have combination skin so this cream would probably be a nightmare for me during hot summer months, but it really saved my skin during cold winter days.
Texture is very rich and greasy, so I only used this cream before I went out during winter because my skin is really sensitive to very cold weather and sometimes I just find a tiny “cut” on my face (like a papercut) which is caused by very cold and dry air.
Well, that’s why I put rich creams like this one which solved that problem.
It also has tiny luminous particles which give your skin nice and “dewy” glow, but it’s very subtle so you won’t look like you’re wearing make up or anything like that.
Sometimes I also used this as a night cream and it was good, but for daytime it would be way too greasy unless I went out to expose myself to a really cold and dry air.
Scent is pleasant, most people described it as “old lady perfume” and I agree with that, but the smell is really subtle so even those people who dislike scented products probably won’t be bothered by the smell.
This cream is probably supposed to have some anti-ageing effects since it’s recommended for people 35+, but I can’t say I really noticed anything special. This was simply a great cream to hydrate and nourish dry skin – it did that job perfectly but that’s about it.
I’m not a huge fan of the packaging – jar is very nicely designed and looks luxurious, but the shape of the jar makes the product a bit hard to get out sometimes. I’m not bothered by the fact that jars are “unhygienic” because you wash your hands before you use the cream anyway, and this cream also comes with a spatula for those who are fans of that – I prefer to use my (previously washed) fingers 😉

This is a super thick and rich cream. I have combination skin, so I don’t use this every day. I do a peel or mask once a week and I like to use this cream afterwards. One time, I left a peel on for slightly too long and parts of my face were irritated and very slightly burned. This was the only moisturizer that did anything for it – it helped restore my skin in a non-irritating way in 2 days, and now I’m hooked. I only use this once a week or in extremely cold and dry conditions, but it’s creamy, extremely restorative, and lasts forever.

I have already bought my second jar. If you need intensive hydration, this is very effective. If you have normal or oily skin, you might want to skip it because this is really rich, but YMMV.
A luxuriously textured pale yellow cream, this is lightly fragranced with something suitably exotic but not overpowering. It applies smoothly and evenly, unlike some of the Estee Lauder Resilience creams I’ve sampled, but it does take absolutely ages to completely absorb. I usually only use it as a night cream so this isn’t a problem for me, but if you want to apply makeup over it, I’d recommend waiting a good while for it to sink it. All depends on how dry your skin is I suppose, but I find it leaves a slightly filmy (but not unpleasant) feeling for at least an hour after application. It’s not heavy as such, just very rich and emollient.
I get particularly dry and flaky around my chin but this has banished all those pesky dry patches and leaves me smooth and even toned with nicely plumped up skin in the morning. It doesn’t irritate inflamed spots either.
Really, really great for nourishing and soothing excessively dry skin.
Recommended!

I use this cream daily and it really does work wonders on my dry skin. It hydrates and smooths and seems to prevent skin from drying out again. I like the texture and see very good results from it.

My skin is really sensitive and flakes regardless of however much exfoliation or moisturizer I put on my skin. But every morning, I’d put this on my face, and the flakiness ceases for the rest of the day!
It is, however, incredibly thick and heavy. But that just means richer emollients, right? 🙂

A very good moisteriser but nothing great for the price. Its at par with cheaper Dr Hauschka rose day cream. In fact the cheaper Benefiance protective day cream is better slightly better than this one.

Really lovely moisturizer! Moisturizes and nourishes skin overnight and gives this lit from the inside glow similar to Estee Lauder Intensive Recovery Complex, but with more nourishing properties. I recommend this cream for everyone who has dry, dehydrated skin, this will correct it. Doesn’t cause breakouts and comedones even despite the rich and thick texture. The scent is almost unnoticeable, same as the rest of the Benefiance line, old-old lady perfume.Shiseido also promises wrinkle reduction and anti-aging, but I don’t know about that, it’s just a very good moisturizer.
