This cream help save and even improve the condition of my skin over the winter. I use the same concoction at night and in the morning under SPF (PC Resist tinted). It’s a pea-sized amount of Balancium and a pea-sized amount of Alba Bontanica Fragrance free Emollient lotion, plus a 3-4 drops of a facial oil (meadowfoam+rosehip+blue tansy at the moment). I quickly mix it all in my palm and apply liberally to skin with a bit of hyaluronic acid applied first. I suspect it’s the oils and the Balancium working together, but my pores are clear and less visible, and my redness is reduced. I don’t tolerate heavy occlusives well, this stuff is just the right weight for me to be protective without clogging or itching.

I found the COSRX Balancium Comfort Ceramide Cream to be almost perfect. The Balancium Comfort Ceramide Cream is a thick textured cream moisturizer meant to be used over skin morning and evening. The cream isn’t greasy but it is very thick. I find the texture of this to be similar to the Dr Jart Cicapair Cream. The COSRX Balancium Comfort Ceramide Cream does absorb after a few seconds of massaging this over skin and feels very hydrating and soothing after application.
I found the Balancium Comfort Ceramide Cream to be WAY too thick for use in the daytime under SPF and Foundation. It was just way too much product and would sometimes end up pilling. In the evening I loved using this as the last step in my evening routine to kind of “seal” everything else underneath it in. This Cream appears to be made especially for those with dry skin, but if you have any skin issues or need a good sleeping mask this could fit the bill. My more detailed review can be seen here: Q
The ingredient list for the Cosrx Cream is pretty impressive. This contains high amounts of centella asiatica leaf water, sunflower seed oil, lecithin, and palm oil. I really wish that Cosrx would have left out the bergamot fruit oil. Bergamot Fruit Oil can be a skin sensitizer and is mainly used in cosmetics to give off a fruit fragrance. The other issue I had with this Cream is that it caused a couple of minor breakouts. Almost nothing will cause me to breakout, but I suspect it was the thickness of the cream along with the inclusion of beeswax. I will use the rest of this tube on my neck, decollete, and arms.
In general, I actually believe this is a better version of the Dr. Jart Ceramidin Cream and the Dr. Jart Cicapair Cream. The Cosrx Cream has significantly less fragrance than the Dr. Jart options. Another reason to consider the Cosrx Balancium Comfort Ceramide Cream is that the price is significantly less, and that you get more product inside the tube.
