This is definitely fragranced, but it’s fresh and subtle. This cream is thick, rich, and feels wonderful (absorbs well), however, it clogs my pores and makes me break out. So sad! I really like it otherwise. I’ve come to realize that anything with Shea Butter is just too heavy for my skin.

I got this cream when I was traveling to Germany. My skin has changed as I have gotten older. My skin is sensitive, dry, with rosacea and is sometimes prone to tiny bumps of acne (white heads). I used to be super greasy and break out all the time but now I am dry with fine lines. I use differin which can dry out your skin even more to combat the acne and fight aging. However this lotion AQUALIA THERMAL DYNAMIC HYDRATION RICH CREAM is a dream. I love love love this cream. I love the smell, the way it smooths over my skin and sinks in to really hydrate my sensitive dry skin all day long. It has not broken me out and seems to keep my skin healthier. I use it alone on days without makeup and I use under my foundation.

I’ve been using this since about Christmas time (almost 2 months) and I’m about a third of the way through the jar. I really like it as a night time/winter moisturizer. It does leave my skin shiny so I wouldn’t use it during the day…only if I’m staying home and not wearing makeup and don’t care if my t-zone is shiny. I should also mention that I use this with the Aqualia Thermal serum underneath. It’s definitely a thicker cream which I was almost afraid to use as my skin can be somewhat breakout prone, and my skin is combo rather than dry…but it is winter and I do live in Canada and my skin can get chapped, dry, and sensitive in winter….and this has worked really well on my skin. No breakouts, no sensitivity from the fragrance, it feels soothing on the skin, and it’s kept my skin from getting dry. It’s a good option if you’re just looking for a basic moisturizer to keep your skin moist, plump, and healthy. I think I prefer the texture of the Thermal Night Spa for a night cream though-that ones light enough that I would even use it during the day-but I find it equally moisturizing despite the lighter texture. I see a lot of people complaining about the heavy scent of this-but I must be immune to it because I honestly don’t notice it. Anyway, pretty much all winter I’ve been using this as a night cream and the Idealia Smoothing and Illuminating cream for day cream and my skin looks and feels great. There’s no major impressive ingredients in this though if you’re looking for anything extra other than hydration…could probably be paired with a good serum underneath if you’re looking for active ingredients. I would say the price of this is equal to it’s value. It just feels yummy.

My 50 year old menopausal skin is fine-lined on the apple of my cheeks under my eyes. I would consider it normal but slightly dehydrated. However, am an occasional user of a retinol serum which makes my skin quite dry. So I settled for this particular cream since I got it free with my accumulated Boots points. Unfortunately, the particular fragrance from this cream put me off. I normally do not mind fragrance in skincare products, but this is too overpowering for me. Also, it isn’t rich enough and find I have to apply at least twice the normal amount usually used. Might check out Kiehl’s Ultra range and Bobbi Brown hydrating and repair range.

It’s ok for the price. I’m oily/combination but in the winter and autumn the area around my lips gets really dry and flaky so I was looking for a moisturiser to stop this from happening and was using it just there.
Pros: It does hydrate and it’s very reasonably priced.
Cons: It has no brightening effect whatsoever, unlike some of the high end creams. It has a very thick consistency and you do have to wait a while for it to absord. Also, it makes your makeup crease like crazy.
Overall, I am not a fan and I’d rather splurge on something that brightens up my skin and doesn’t cause makeup to crease. You may like this if your skin is really dry all over, you’re not looking for anything other than just something to calm it down and you don’t wear makeup on top.

Love this product! Tried this and only ended up switching back to Avene because I am not a big fan of the scent. That being said, it isn’t offensive, I would just prefer less (personal preference, not a representation of the quality of the product by any means). I found that this was nice even during the hot summer months. Soaks in quickly, never “stopped working” and never sat on top of my skin leaving a oily layer. A really lovely consistency, not too thick, and also works nicely during the cold, dry, winter months. I found that after applying this product my skin felt refreshed, which is what I look for in my moisturizers (among other things, of course!)
I never experienced a breakout or any irritation using this product and am prone to both. I am always a bit reluctant with Vichy as the sales people in the drug store seem to push it, but I am thoroughly impressed with this product!

I was previously using Uriage Isofill anti-wrinkle cream for dry skin but chose this very basic cream because it has hyaluronic acid in it. My skin gets really dry in winter so chose the rich version. Whereas the Uriage brand was incredibly thick and buttery, this one’s very light and airy in comparison. Both do a good of moisturising; neither leaves a greasy film on my face and both leaves my skin texture even and calm. I can’t say much for the ingredients of the Uriage cream because I received it as part of a special hamper without the packaging but the ingredient list for the Vichy cream bothers me. First, there’s the presence of alcohol and a big second gripe is the fact that silicones are listed at the top of the ingredients list; third is that except for the hyaluronic acid, there aren’t any major state of the art ingredients. My hair hates silicones so I’m very wary of it on my skin. The cream seems efficient but as someone in her 30’s I’m looking at more than just skin-deep performance; I need to know that my skin is being nourished and repaired. I’ll give this 4 stars for performance but one star off for the ingredients.

Great workhorse product that keeps my skin looking good! I like this more than the expensive creams I have purchased and it does not break me out. I love the serum as well!
My European mother has used Vichy for a long time. Great and I would repurchase 🙂

Love this moisturizer. It hydrates my skin perfectly. It’s a creamy slightly thick texture that’s quickly absorbed into the skin. It’s a pleasure to apply every day. It has Hyaluronic Acid in it and Vichy Therman water, it’s not irritating. My skin feels nourrished and hydrated after application. I tried both the light and the rich version of this moisturizer and I much prefer the rich version.
Definitely recommend it.
