It feels too greasy on my face
And then if I rub my face I start to get little bits which makes my face feel dirty
It does feel moisturised which I want but overly greasy
Not that good
I would not buy this again
Much prefer either Nivea or Olay
Both good brands and don’t break the bank
My mum has beautiful skin just always using Olay so maybe I need to listen to my mum 🙂

I’ve always been fortunate that my skin tolerates a variety of products well. Not this one. What works well for many can be terrible for some, so this review isn’t a diss on Avon at all. Just a warning that a bad reaction to a product doesn’t necessarily happen right away.
In all fairness, I didn’t like the product from the start. The perfumey smell is overwhelming and unpleasant. It’s a heavy cream and doesn’t absorb well, which i don’t want in a daytime moisturizer. It felt greasy. I thought my aging skin might benefit, so I used only at night, reading before bed gave lots of absorbing time. I’m also not one to throw away a.product just because I’m not thrilled with it. I started using in early November and by early December I began noticing my skin was acting up worse than I’d ever experienced: breakouts, bumps, rough texture, sensitivity. I wondered if it was holiday stress. Spent a fortune on sensitive skin products but kept using this at night because WRINKLES! It just kept getting worse. I changed hair products, laundry detergents, put new pillowcases on every day. My face became so painful I couldn’t wear makeup. I finally clued in at Christmas, when putting this on at night went from tingling to burning. Do I feel stupid.
I’ve been calling my face raw hamburger for weeks, but now it’s moved into the “hamburger that’s defrosted in microwave and has some hard overcooked bits” phase. When it finally heals, exfoliating should be a treat.

The Avon lady told me that this cream is targeted for maturing, dry skin. It has a very strong perfume scent, is very greasy, and it burned a little as other reviewers have said (I wonder if it’s the (perfume). I exchanged it for the Avon Anew Reversalist Day Cream, which is much less scented and is not greasy on me. The Avon lady told me that Reversalist is more of a combination skin cream.

This is supposed to be for women over 40. I am 23, but still use it. Don’t agree with age limits on products; if it’s good I’ll use it. This has SPF 25, which is why I got in the first place.
I didn’t have any cream with sun protection in it, and since I am an Avon rep this was just convenient to get. It has a very creamy texture and when you rub it in it just melts. Ahhh… It feels luxurious for sure. Now, it doesn’t sink in as fast as I would like it, but I do prefer this then a sun protection only product. Those tend to be greasy. Like you have vaseline on your face, and I’m not a fan of that.
So in my mind, rather then not using them under make-up and expose my skin, a cream with spf in it is better.
Keep in mind that I give it a full 10 to 15 minutes before I start putting make-up on, and on occasion, when I had too much on I blot with a tissue before putting on something else. This way, I never had a problem with make-up moving over the day. My mom uses it too and likes it a lot. That’s how I first tried it, I dunk my fingers in her pot. Evil me.
The jar packaging is not my favorite. I prefer an airless pump. But oh well, half of the creams out there are in a jar so I have to deal with it. It is made of glass, which means it is rather heavy. That, and the gold make it look really nice and fancy; in my opinion. And even though that should not matter, we all get sucked in by nice packaging, don’t we?
I can’t speak to how good it it against wrinkles, since I don’t have them yet, but the spf alone helps with that. And my mom is a big fan, went through many jars, so it must be good.
Overall, I like it, but I’m not it’s biggest fan. I might purchase it again because it feels very comforting on the skin and contains a decent spf, enough for everyday use.

Review is for the day cream with spf 25. I got this from a colleague who sells Avon on the side. It was a very low price and I saw that it got kudos from Beautypedia for small amount of AHA at appropriate pH plus the spf.
I am on my third pot and I love it. I use it daily and liberally (I buy when it is on special: usually <$20 for 50gm/1.7oz) to my face, neck, décolleté, backs of hands and any part of my arm that is exposed. My Laura Mercier Silk Cream foundation or MAC Studio Tech apply like a dream over this cream. Go on smoothly and look amazing. Using this in conjunction with the Paula's Choice Weekly resurfacing and occasional use of BHA when I get blemishes or blackheads....I am quite happy with my skin. I have been using over a year and have noticed improvement in my skin. The downsides: packaging...you have to dip in the pot with either fingers or use a clean Qtip. Not the best. The jar is kind of clunky for travel. Overall though, given the reasonable price and the way it has improved my skin: I keep buying. I just bought a $25 package that includes a 15gm jar of this, 15gm jar of the Anew Ultimate night cream, 15gm jar of the Anew Ultimate eye elixir and cream plus a 50ml tube of Anew Ultimate cleanser. will post reviews on those in future.

This is for the day and night creams—-AWESOME! I just won a sample size jar of each of these, and after using them for only 2 days now, my skin looks brighter and feels smoother. The texture of these creams is so silky, when you put it on it just glides over your skin, and illuminates it. Just the right balance of moisture without being greasy–it’s like velvet. For my skin to look dewy and bright in the morning is saying a lot, since I’m not a morning person and I don’t FEEL that awake, but I looked it!:-) Both creams have such a light feel, and leave a freshly buffed look and feel to my skin—I love them!

Gold Emulsion: I bought this discounted and am very glad- the price was as cheap the product. This burned and caused small irritation bumps, and did not do anything it promised. I have very nice but dry skin and it did not hydrate me at all-I felt dryer, bumpy and red. It is very gooey and jelly like.
If it works for others though I am happy for you. I have a second nearly full jar to trade lol.

INITIALLY I LOVED THIS CREAM. IT IS RICH AND MAKES YOUR SKIN SO SOFT. MY HUSBAND REMAKRED THAT MY MAKEUP LOOKED BLOTCHY AND INDEED IT DID… SHAME. SOMETHING IN THE CREAM MADE MY MAKEUP GO ON UNEVENLY..IT IS A GREAT CREAM JUST DIDN’T WORK FOR ME

This is heavily perfumed and I don’t like the overpowering floral grandma-scent. The consistency is very creamy and it really helped to reduce fine lines on my forehead, but if little pimples and uneven, slightly irritated skin are the price I have to pay it’s not really worth it. I’m in my thirties and have combination skin, so maybe it’s because this cream is just too rich for me. But maybe clogged pores are not necessarily a question of age…

I would like to say to the folks who say this has broke them out, your skin is probably not ready for such a rich cream yet. Lucky you! For those of us pushing 60 however, this stuff works great!! I have been using the night cream for several months now with no problems at all. It makes my skin so smooth & soft to the touch. It helps with the wrinkles as well, but let’s face it girls, even Chanel does not rid one’s self of deep wrinkles at this age. I have tried them all, and for the money value, Avon is just as good as some of those expensive name brands, & perhaps better! After this jar, I am moving on to the Platinum Anew. 😉 I have used samples and it works great too.
