   Picked this up randomly and this is probably one of my favorite products now. I keep it in the fridge and apply a thin layer right after shaving my legs. It’s amazing! My skin is crazy sensitive and I’m prone to rashes and ingrown hairs but this helps so much and is soothing. HG!

   Picked up a tube of the BRIGHT GREEN version of this “aloe gel” – clearly with loads of artificial colorants. needed it for a sunburn mishap and it was OK.

   I prefer the good stuff from the health food store – or better yet – from the PLANT.

   I picked up a tube of the clear, 100% aloe vera gel at CVS on sale for $1.99. And it is turning out to be one of my favorite additions to my skin care routine. I had recently read an article about how aloe vera gel used 2x a day can help enhance the effects of Retin-A, so I wanted to give this a try. Maybe I am speaking too soon (it’s been a few weeks) but I have not gotten one blemish since I added this to my routine. In the AM, I mix a dollop of this with the Earth Sourced toner that I was already using in the morning and then at night, I mix a little with my custom oil blend that I use to moisturize. This makes a great base for mixing products- it adds a thicker texture and soothing sensation to anything I add it to. I can also scrunch some into my hair. Or use it all over the body if I want to use something cool and refreshing. This is a great multi-tasking product. I love it and the price it unbeatable!

   I have the green colored gel that contains no alcohol. I use this for when my skin gets flakes. In the summer, I may get flakes from tanning (I know bad) and the winter temps here get up to a hazy 8 degrees and dry up my combo/oily skin. I have a very hard and sad time finding a “deep” moisturizer for winter skin that doesn’t cause rashes, itchiness, clogged pores and breakouts. I even tried moisturizers geared for sensitive skin and still broke out. So, one day I put this on my face in desperation and was happy with the results. My main concern is any reaction to a product and my skin seems to welcome this aloe vera gel. Secondly, this does a fantastic job healing the flakey areas. In fact, after I do my makeup and I noticed that some tiny flakes pop up, I dab a little of this on the area and it vanishes the flakes and doesn’t mess up my makeup. Because this has no anti-aging benefits, I still need to find something in that department. But, for my dry flakey areas, this really does an impressive job and it cost a few dollars.

   i got the clear one not with the menthol.. i have a sensitive skin that always cause me rashes, i used this and they all gone.. it really soothes my skin and it also moisturize my skin.. it absorbs to my skin easily without feeling sticky or greasy.. and what i really love is that i use this on my face as my primer, i read some review that she use aloe for primer, so i did and it really works! my makeup stays on very well even in humid times.. overall, i really love the effectiveness and the cheap prize of this ..got it 2.99.. no any complaints!

   CVS Aloe Vera Gel in the 16 oz. Pump Bottle is clear. There are lots of choices so I wanted to be specific here.

   I use this all the time on sunburns for family. I prefer H.Tropic Aloe Vera Gel but can’t ever find it. What I like about the CVS brand is there is lidocaine and the alcohol concentration is formulated in such a way that it doesn’t sting when going on the skin. I find with the menthol and lidocaine products in aloe very they sting when first applied which doesn’t help the cause! The only downside is this stuff is sticky and doesn’t dry very well. Which is really what makes the burn feel better anyway! It’s $5.00 in May of 2008, you can’t beat that price!
