I’ve been trying to like this for too long and I just can’t. It rolls on my skin when I rub it in, it leaves my face really oily, and I don’t feel like it sinks in to even moisturize at all. I really wanted to like it but every time I tried it I regretted putting it on and instead used my HG St. Ives collagen moisturizer.
The only reason I didn’t give it a one lippie was because of the scent and the green seemed to counter redness on my skin. I can’t recommend it, but maybe it’s just not for combination skin.

This was given to me by my sister. Horrible moisturizer for my combination skin. The minute I put it on , I had to wash it off. Pure suffocation. It felt like a thick mask on my face.

this moisturizer is not that good the texture is thick and feels promising but when you put it on the skin it’s not moisturizing it absorbs ok but it’s just blah in my opinion. Another thing I don’t like is that this moisturizer rolls when you put foundation or primer on this peels badly so this doesn’t wear well under make up. This isn’t oily on me either because of how dry I am that would be great but it isn’t. This would be good for someone with normal skin in my opinion.

This product was recommended by an ULTA employee who suggested me to use this after I used the PMD (personal microderm). I though it was kind of pricey for just a small bottle but I decided to give it a try because I liked the fact that it was a moisturizer with sunscreen which is hard to find. It also has aloe vera which has anti-inflammatory properties.
I think it moisturizes very well but the issue is the same as others have stated. I don’t like it for everyday use after I do my makeup. It leaves my face SUPER oily and I have to constantly take breaks to go to the bathroom and blot my face with paper towels.
I think is ok to use if you are not going to use any makeup or before going to bed but that defeats the purpose of having a spf 15 moisturizer. If you have dry skin it may work for you.
I saw online that there is an oil free moisturizer from the same brand but I rather try something else. I have been pleased with the “Clear Face” SPF 30 suncreen by Neutrogena which absorbs very quickly in the skin and is not oily but I wish it served as a moisturizer and primer as well.

OMG. This moisturizer was a diaster for me. Thank you Nordstrom SA for suggesting this after i explain my skin type (clog prone, sensitive, very oily, with some mild active breakouts.) squalene is derived from olive oil…so though it says oil free this ingredient can still cause problems for those clog prone. Oils have never agreed with my skin. This makes my mineral makeup (sheer cover) separate and melt off my face. I looked like a monster by the end of the day with clogged pores turned into white heads EVERYWHERE. Sensitive skin STAY AWAY!!!

I normally LOVE all thing Mario badescu, this is his first product i actually don’t like. I put it on for the first time this morning after my shower, I went to do my makeup an hour later and it was a greasy film over my face. I did my makeup anyway and it looks like ill be looking oily all day, which I’ve never experienced since I have dry dry skin. Wouldn’t buy again.

While expensive, this is the best moisturizer I’ve ever had. It doesn’t go on in a sheer, greasy layer so you don’t need to lather it on like crazy which means it lasts a long time. It is a thick, creamy, and delightful addition to my MB regimen. My makeup applies beautifully and smoothly after using this moisturizer. If you have sensitive skin and burn easily, the SPF in this will easily keep you protected while also absorbing into your skin and making it super soft!

Verrrry expensive for such an impotent product. I figured the all-natural aloe aspect of this moisturizer would make it fairly lightweight, but alas, it does not. It sits on top of my skin like a film and doesn’t work with the pores to allow it to breath. Unsurprisingly, for how heavy it was, my skin broke out with white little silicone pockets on my face. Not a whitehead or like typical acne, but as if the product just stored itself in my pores because it didn’t absorb properly. Not worth a second glance as I was hoping for a smoother tactile difference in my skin as the description promised, not bumpy. I really wanted to love this product because it was highly recommended by my manager at the store I work at. She even gave me the old tester to try it out. So I imagine I’d be even more disappointed had I actually had to pay for this product. Although, I might add the packaging is incredibly convenient, even if it is rather small for the price you would have to pay. I could try to use up the remainder as a night cream as others have suggested for this moisturizer, but I worry with my acne-prone skin that it will block my pores and cause me to breakout. One way to find out I suppose.

I originally bought this product because I am combination skin that was getting dried out in the Boston winter. So when I went into Nordstrom to pick this up, I figured it would be a win, like all of Mario Badescu’s products are. Unfortunately, this product is not doing it for me. It does moisturize my face, BUT that being said, my face gets wicked oily at the end of the day when I use this. I have to mattifying lotion on top of this and that will keep the oily at bay for a little longer, but it still makes my skin greasy. I really wanted to like this product, but it’s not a winner in my book.
