I’m on the fence here. I have sensitive, combination skin and was looking for a gentle, mostly physical sunscreen.
Pros:
– Gentle on my skin
– Moisturising
Cons:
– Makes me look very oily. Fine for holiday, not so fine for work.
– Not fully physical sunscreen, some chemical elements too.
I’ll finish the bottle on weekends or holidays but wouldn’t repurchase. I’m disappointed – FAB has a great philosophy but their sunscreens have been duds for me.
UPDATE: Upgraded this rating to a 4 from a 3 – it might make me a bit oily, but it’s still the most soothing SPF sunscreen I’ve used.

I just finished my second bottle and need to get more asap. Love how hydrated this makes my skin feel. Absorbed well and works great as a primped under makeup. Surprised it’s not rated higher than it is. I do tend to have dry skin but this evens me out nicely.

If you have sensitive skin or eyes, BEWARE!!! This stuff made my eyes sting so badly and for so long, I contemplated going to the emergency room. It claims to be fragrance free but still has a strong and unpleasant scent that lingers for hours. It is also very greasy and makes your face look like you rubbed cooking oil all over it. I tried wearing it under my foundation and it made my makeup transfer like crazy. I would never re-purchase this; in fact, I plan to return this for a refund.

I was using a drugstore brand of moisturizer and wasn’t really liking it. It wouldn’t absorb into my skin properly. So I decided to try this one and I really enjoy it!
It has an SPF of 30, which is the minimum of SPF that I like. It squirts out of a pump. A full pump is way too much product! I find half a pump to be fine. It doesn’t have much slip, and it feels like the moisturizer won’t soak in, but it does. There are no pools of oil on my skin or taking 15 minutes to soak in.
The only thing I don’t like about this moisturizer is the scent. It smells very strong of trees and of a forest. The ingredients have a ton of different oils in it, and the scents of the oils of are strong. It gave me a headache the first time I used it. However, after a few uses, the smell is quite pleasant. Still very strong, though.

I wanted to like this product so badly but could not get past the odor. I also found that it did not absorb completely into my normal to dry skin and left a slick sheen on my face.

Weird I actually loved the cream at first and felt it improved my skin, but it simultaneously caused random red dots across my cheeks. I could see how it could work great for fair girls with sensitive skin, but I reacted to something in it.

I love most their products, but this one never soaks in….if I am just at home, and not wearing makeup, I like it, but it stays way too greasy for me. Wish they could make night cream with spf, as it soaks in perfectly for my skin….sometimes I use the night during day when I am wearing foundation with a high spf …..not impressed.

I find this product to be far too oily, and leaves a sticky film on my face after a while. It also smells vaguely of mayonnaise and made me break out. I was outside last weekend and reapplied this sunblock at least every 2 hours (if not every hour) but still developed new freckles. At $38, I’ll stick to my Shiseido sunblock. The only thing good about this sunblock is that it doesn’t leave a white cast like the Shiseido, but maybe that’s why it’s also not as effective. I do like the pump packaging, but the bottle is a bit cheap – the entire top of the pump fell off and I spilled sunblock everywhere. There should be a screw on pump top in order to prevent this from happening.

I purchased the First Aid Beauty 5 in 1 Face Cream solely for the sunscreen that it provides. I realize that SPF 30 doesn’t offer a lot of protection from the sun’s rays, but after trying several different brands of sunscreen that stung my face and eyes, I figured I’d try this brand, since it’s supposed to be suitable for sensitive skin.
I was so happy to find that the FAB 5 in 1 cream does NOT irritate my sensitive skin at all. Finally, a sunscreen that doesn’t sting! Even when I run several miles outdoors in extremely hot and humid temperatures, this cream doesn’t irritate my skin. That alone would make me repurchase this cream, since this is the ONLY cream with sunscreen that has never stung my skin.
I was skeptical that this cream would be moisturizing enough for my dry skin at first as it has a very thin consistency, but thankfully, that is not the case with this cream. It provides an adequate amount of moisture without feeling too heavy or greasy under my makeup.
Another good thing about this cream is that it doesn’t leave a white cast on my face like many other sunscreens do. The finish is dewy, but not white, and I don’t find it greasy-looking at all. I personally think it makes my skin look healthy and hydrated. Keep in mind that I have dry skin; I’m not sure how this would look on oilier skin types.
I have worn liquid foundation, cream foundation, and mineral powder foundation over this cream, and I haven’t had any issues with the cream affecting my makeup’s staying-power. A lot of sunscreens that I’ve worn in the past made my makeup look shinier and wear off faster, but I haven’t experienced that with the 5 in 1 cream thus far.
Overall, I really love this cream. It’s rather expensive ($38 for 1.7 oz), but I will repurchase this when I run out since it’s the only sunscreen I’ve tried that doesn’t burn my skin. I highly recommend this product to anyone who has similar sensitivities to sunscreen.
I hope that First Aid Beauty will release a similar product with a higher SPF in the future so that I’ll have more skin protection when I go to the beach!
