I don;t really see the “Tropical” packaging for Venus any more (Circa 2019) but I like Venus razors in general for legs and underarms. It is a multi-blade cartridge with a moisturizing “strip”. Pricey but I can usually get 5 -7 days per cartridge.

I had a coupon for B1G1 free on 3-packs of the Venus disposables. These don’t really cut it (no pun intended) for me. I don’t get as close of a shave as I do with other disposable razors. I have to wonder if it’s because of the padded moisture strips (or whatever they are) above and below the actual blades…like the blades are lowered just a smidge and therefore they can’t lay flat against the skin to get the closest shave. My legs might feel smooth for a couple hours but then the stubble pops up much quicker than it does with other razors. And I find that after just 3 or 4 shaves (I usually shave every other day) it does an even worse job and I have to toss it and use a new one. I have only had one nick with these, and that was mainly because my foot slipped : ). Even though I do like the bright, pretty colors and scented handle those qualities aren’t quite redeeming enough for me to want to purchase this again. I’ll use them (or demote them to a permanent home in my travel makeup case) and then go back to my Schick Silk Effects razor.

To start off, I think these are way overpriced. Definitely more than they should be. With that being said, these razors work fairly well. They honestly aren’t the most gentle razors I’ve used, but you can definitely tell the difference between using these razors & cheap ones. These razors glide fairly easy & smoothly. Doesn’t leave me with terrible razor burn either. The colors they come in are cute (which doesn’t really matter, but it’s a plus). I also like the way the razor is flexible & moves for an easy glide/reach. I have these in the sensitive version, but I don’t know if I feel this is really “sensitive.” Overall, I want to try out some other razors, so I may or may not buy these again. These aren’t terrible, but they aren’t amazing either.

I tried the Venus disposable razor after hearing friends rave about how awesome they are. Immediately after using it my legs felt like they had razor burn all over, and they were red. I guess the shave was too close for me or I was allergic to something in the emollient strip (which I have never experienced in my entire life). I tried using the razor a second time a few days later and I experienced the same exact result, so I decided to go back to using my normal razors.

I got the disposables because I thought paying $20 for 4 replacement heads for my Venus razor was ridiculous. These are great..I’m going to stick with them. They work exactly the same as the reg razor, the only thing different is the handle doesn’t have as much rubber grip on it so it’s not as non-slip (that’s why I took off 1 lippy).

I picked these up for $9.97 for 12 or 16 (can’t remember) of them, on clearance at Costco. I thought, what a great deal! Well, I do not like them. They give a close shave for about three uses before they get dull. The shave is TOO close; I cut myself under my arms one too many times before I decided that was enough. Plus the head itself seems narrow; I have to go over and over my legs and feel like I miss “strips” of hair on my legs :). Cute colors, but that’s about it. Back to my Quattro…..

OK so i used this last night to shave my legs and arm-pits put baby lotion on that night woke up my legs where soft and Lil stubble but it worked like a charm my new favorite razor and BTW this was my first Venus razor!

I had been using the regular venus razor forever. I didn’t realize how dull it had become! I went to buy and more and couldn’t get over how expensive they were so I picked up these disposables. I really like that they were in fun different colors. I believe I purchased 3 for 8 or 10 dollars. Anyways, I remember it was a better deal. I shaved with these for the first time last night and WOW! My skin is so soft. Like super soft and still so soft this morning. I probably wont have to shave for a couple days! I really like these razors. Before I shave I always exfoliate with a salt/olive oil scrub. I find it gives me a better shave. I would recommend these for sure!

These are okay for travel or if you’re super-tight on cash and can’t afford the Venus Embrace refills. However, they are not the same quality as a regular Venus blade. I know, I know….they look EXACTLY like the blades for the original Venus. But trust me, these ones wear out quick! Especially for the cost. If I have to pay eight-nine bucks for a three pack at some drugstores, I should be able to get more than three leg shaves out of each blade! I’d pick them up in an emergency, but I think I’m going to keep looking for some cheaper (but good quality) razors.

I used to like this razor cuz it gave a nice smooth shave on my legs. But I notice the blades get dull quick and even when they were new sometimes I would get razor bumps from this razor…….I won’t be buying anymore due to that.
