The TEMPTU airbrush system is a great idea. The foundation just mists onto your skin evenly and gently. The adjustable dial on the system allows you to select your coverage from very sheer to pretty heavy. Along with foundation, you can also appy blush, bronzer, highlighter and now tanning spray with the system as well.
My only gripes are the following:
– It’s a little bit unpractical. Traveling with it is a bit of a pain due to it’s size, shape and weight. Also it kind of takes up a lot of room on the counter.
– The pump is a bit loud. Especially at 5:45am, haha.
– The pods your purchase are a little pricey and limited in colors.
– It get’s clogged every now and then.
Other than those minor things, it’s a great tool to have in my cosmetic arsenal!

Firstly, I will say that this is my first and currently only airbrush system that I own. This isn’t in any way an experienced airbrush professionals review/opinion. I have reviewed both the TEMPTU AIR compressor and supplied SP-35 airbrush gun.
Deciding to spend the extra money and get the TEMPTU AIR over the S-One is a decision I believe greatly depends on how you want to use this system. Having said that, I have never used the S-One and only my TEMPTU AIR, so I cannot accurately compare the loudness, weight, or size in real life just based on what the TEMPTU website says.
The TEMPTU AIR is a very compact air compressor which makes it amazingly easy to take with you if you do any form of freelance work, traveling, events… you name it. It also comes with one rechargeable battery pack which they estimate can do 90 minutes of airbrush work until needing to be charged again. You can charge the battery by plugging just the battery alone into the wall, or the compressor and battery together so you may use it as it charges. You can also use just the compressor alone plugged into the wall. When I first received the system I charged the battery 100% upon unpacking, and continued to use it until the battery ran completely out. It lasted me roughly 5 applications, given I was taking my time and playing around with the system a bit to get used to it.
The build of the compressor is a hard black glossy plastic body with a chrome TEMPTU emblem. Without the battery pack attached it is very lightweight to carry around. The hose supplied is made of what feels to be a rubber-like material, and the SP-35 airbrush gun is made of metal. Personally I feel that it is overall very high quality, the dial for adjusting the pressure turns smoothly and feels sturdy, the locking mechanism for the battery pack was tricky the first time but holds the battery firmly in place when attached. The airbrush gun can be disassembled and put back together quite easily for cleaning purposes and has a decent weight itself. In order to disperse product from the gun you must press down on the trigger and then pull back, when the trigger isn’t in the downward position no air flows out of the end of the gun. That being said, the only semi-negative opinions I have about the build quality would be the button to turn the system on and off isn’t as responsive as I would like/expect it to be. Also the connections for twisting and locking the hose to the compressor/airbrush gun are sometimes a but finicky.
As for how loud it is, it isn’t horribly loud, but it isn’t something I would consider to be “quiet”. Although it is supposed to be less noisy than the S-One compressor. They do provide you with a rubber pad to place under the compressor in order to diffuse any sound and help keep it in place and stable on any surface I have ever stood it on. TEMPTU also offers a harness so you can have the compressor suspended at hip level for freelance artists who want to remain mobile.
As for the functionality, I have absolutely no complaints, the pressure levels can be adjusted very accurately and accordingly. The foundations, both TEMPTU S/B and Aqua formulas come out of the gun evenly, but once you get to the end of the foundation in the reservoir it can sometimes sputter a bit. I haven’t experienced any functionality hick-ups or problems since purchase.
Overall I am very pleased that I chose to go with this system, I love the portability and quality. Also the supplied gun allows for all types of airbrush foundations to be used with the system, not only the TEMPTU brands.
