well well can anyone tell me what the rage is about on this sponge is about? even though it was not expensive I would rather not waste my money .it feels soft compared to others but it does not blend it lift off the entire area if you are blending products on top of each other, it has some large pores, that just grabs products into them then leaving the are blotchy I am so disappointed I was expecting a better blending sponge from elf..I will try using if for blush and see what happens.iwill not repurchase

I was so surprised to like this sponge! For me it’s way, way better than the RT one (too stiff and just moves my foundation around my face without blending it in properly).
My old BB is on its last legs, and since I refuse to pay $30 on a sponge, I have been trying cheaper alternatives. I also have (and kind of like) the Lise Watier black one, but it is still a bit stiffer than the BB, yet better than the RT.
This Elf sponge is by far the softest, squishiest of them all, and when wet it expands really well. It applies foundation smoothly and effortlessly, in fact I think it spreads it around better than the BB. Finish-wise I still prefer the BB, but not enough to invest in a new one.
I don’t know how long it’ll last, as I only got it a couple of days ago, but I will definitely rebuy.

Where do i start with this sponge. I gotten to try so many and this one right here is really good. I think it beats out the RT and Beauty Blender and its not evening that expensive. And when you wet it , it expands really well. And i really like it .

Wow, I love this sponge and it is cheap AF so if I leave them in hotel bathrooms when I travel for work, it is no big loss.
I was surprised when I read the previous review because I love this so much more than the RT sponge. I used to like the RT one well enough when it first came out but then it changed, so I started looking for others to try. I love my beauty blender sponges but hate traveling with them for the reason stated above. When I lose a BB, I curse myself since they run $20, but the ELF sponge is like $4 or $5 so the loss is minimal. The RT sponges started shredding after the 3rd or 4th wash and I wash my sponges a LOT, so I had found that the RT wasn’t that good of a deal when my BB will last months after using and washing daily, and I usually toss for hygenic purposes and not because they are falling apart. The same goes for the ELF sponge!
The ones that I have been purchasing are a little denser than my BB, but the pores are micro-sized so they don’t absorb my products and they blend everything so smoothly. It is so strange that our descriptions of the product are 180 degrees apart! So far I have purchased about 3 of these and haven’t come across one that is as described by the previous reviewer, I am thinking they possibly got one from a batch that should never have passed QA/QC. Hopefully they will give it another try and it works better. I absolutely love mine and will continue to use, I just pray they don’t change production facilities or the way it’s currently manufactured!

This was only $4 and I threw it in my ULTA cart just to get free shipping, so it didn’t cost me a ton of money. But I won’t buy this again. It’s similar in shape to the Real Techniques sponge, but RT’s is softer and the pores of the foam are smaller so it blends better. The e.l.f. sponge has almost a scratchy feel. Because of the larger holes, it is more like a sponge I would have used to sponge paint my wall (when that was popular). It’s not refined enough to do a great job of blending makeup on my face. I might be able to use it for self-tanner but I hated it when I tried it with my foundation.
