As you can see from the packaging, this claims to expand 2x in size when wet – I can assure it does NOT. I purchased this when it was offered at 50% solely because it came with the travel case. The sponge doesn’t really soak up much product and is super easy to clean but it is like slapping your face every time you press it to your skin. You can actually hear it make a smacking noise each time it connects with your face. It doesn’t do a horrible job of applying foundation but if you are used to, or just prefer a softer touch then don’t waste your time or money on this. I can’t recommend it. Sorry Sephora – this is a huge fail for me.
