   Overall, its the worst product created for hair removal. I love the Bliss waxing strips though, sadly discontinued. This one smelt horrible and I’m not one to really comment on the scents of products. The microwaving was easy but its messy. And the wax is very hard to remove. Stick to wax strips and avoid this product at all costs.

   There was a time when I was a fan of this kit, and I even defended it to the many naysayers. It may be messy, time-consuming, difficult to use, and the results are usually nonexistent, but I have had worse experiences with waxing where I am currently living (we are moving soon, so yay!)–I’ve been cut, and had someone make my full eyebrows into skinny parentheses without asking first. (I looked skeptical for a month). I liked the fact that I could do this myself. I always hated the stupid spatulas they provided, and the cleanser and oil bottles are too tiny (exfoliating first and moisturizing is better anyway) and I had to strip naked each time, after getting wax on my sweatshirt, but hey, let’s do this. Until yesterday. I got wax in my eyelashes. Twice. So if this ever happens to you, don’t pull, unless you can afford serious pain and to lose eyelashes. Turn on the water in your sink as hot as it goes, get a washcloth, and keep putting it under the hot water then pressing it gently on your lashes until the wax is soft enough that you can extract it.

   Let’s face it: home waxing is only ever a desperado move. So in that sense, I don’t think Bliss is necessarily to blame for their product’s failure to really do anything, and create a sticky blue mess in the process. There is a reason that *trained* technicians do this in salons (who charge $$$). I personally go to Bliss for my waxing need and love their products and technicians. This home kit was a waste of money. Save yours, and book yourself an appointment in a salon.

   Ok I really like the bliss wax I’ve gotten it at the spa so I figured I would try it at home. The cup takes quite a while to warm up and it’s annoying because you keep having to heat it up every five minutes while your waxing to keep it soft. They only give you three sticks and the wax gets stuck to the side of the cup if they had a better cup and gave more sticks a long with oil it would br better.

   This was a waste of time and money! I am not a fan of hard waxes to begin with but this is sticky… takes foreverrrrr to heat up and doesn’t work very well. It said six 20 second zaps would warm it up…. try like 10 and I have a new microwave. Super time consuminggg. I tried my underarms and all that happened was it stuck to my skin and took a little bit of hair out. I think other kits would be much easier, less messy, and work better. Don’t waste your time with this!

   I’m on the fence with this product. It works well and I like it but it is pretty expensive and there are similar products out there for way cheaper. The cup of wax is about half full, if the cup was mostly full, I would definitely like this product a lot more. The wax takes a lot longer than the directions say to heat up. Once it’s heated up I apply it to my skin and let it dry, then peel it it off. I’ve only used it on my face, but it takes off every hair. I’m not sure how it would on other areas of the body though. There was very little pain when I peeled the wax off and my skin did not become as red as I expected (when I go to a salon, my skin is bright red for hours). If I were to use this on my legs or bikini area, the wax would be gone very quickly. The product itself is really great, I don’t like the price or the amount provided.

   I have long been a fan of the Poetic Waxing Kit–I’ve been using it for more than ten years. When I saw that they came out with microwaveable wax, I thought it would be great–no more waiting for it to melt on the stove! Woo-hoo!

   Boo-hoo.

   This. Kit. Sucks. First, they’ve downsized the bottles of cleanser and toner, and possibly the amount of wax as well (I’m not sure about the latter). The full cup takes 6-8 zaps of 30 seconds each in the microwave to melt it fully, and you must stir (or try to stir) it after each zap (good luck with that). It goes from cold solid to bubbling molten wax with essentially no in-between stage. So you need to wait for it to cool before you can apply it without burning your skin. But since the cup is plastic, it cools *extremely* quickly–I have to run back-and-forth from bathroom to kitchen to rewarm it just to wax my brows and upper lip. (I can’t imagine what people who wax larger areas suffer using this.) So you have too-cool-and-thick wax, or too-hot-and-bubbling wax most of the time–there’s very little time when the wax is of usable temperature and consistency. And any wax you wipe off the applicator on the edge of the cup to adjust the amount to apply stays there–it does not melt with the next zap, or the next, or the next. I’ve found that the only way to solve this is to put the cup in the freezer after using it, then squeeze the cup to break that wax off the edges of the cup so it falls into the center. Then it will melt with the next full microwaving. But while using it, you run out of space on which to wipe the applicator very quickly. And it’s still $45.

   Hey, Bliss, you screwed up a good thing. Bring back the top-of-stove option, please!
