This product is basically hairspray. It sits awkwardly on top the skin and exaggerates skin texture. It sets with a sheen, so if you’re aiming for a matte finish, this product will nullify that. It does keep makeup all day, but I noticed the areas on my face that produce more oil just created a more unflattering sheen, and powder just seemed to sit awkwardly on top.

Unable to find the aerosol version of this so was stuck purchasing the non-aerosol pump style pack. It was a mistake. The pump pack is unable to produce fine droplets – instead it’s like having rain falling on your face. It’s a horrible feeling. The liquid stings unpleasantly for quite a few seconds (and I do NOT have sensitive skin). Due to the pump pack, it’s extremely difficult to control where the heaviest parts of the spray will land. The spray pattern is neither fine nor even. To add insult to injury, in the area where the heaviest application has occurred will go slightly discoloured (slightly orangy). I have tried spraying a kubuki brush and touching it onto the skin as suggested by some makeup artists. This method lifts foundation straight off the face, leaving wierd clear patches. Never again. Admittedly it makes makeup last longer but it’s not worth the stinging, patchiness or lack of control of the product. Am going to try a different brand now and chalk this up to experience.

I have the Kryolan Aerosol Fixier Spray and absolutely luv it. It’s literally a miracle in a can. It really does what it says it’s supposed to do. The aerosol can sprays an undetectable super fine mist that feels like air enveloping your face. It works superrrrbly!!!! Will definitely repurchase.

Super glue for make up!
Pros:
Seals make up into place like nothing else.
Keeps make up from transfering to your clothes or tissues if you happen to have a cold or something like that.
A send from the gods.
Cons:
Skin feels a little sticky right after application though it disappears within a few seconds.
Smell might disturb some people.
Tips:
You need a tiny bit of this, do not use a whole bottle at once or you won’t be able to wash your make up off for three months.
Spray onto a little puff of sponge and pat into skin PRIOR to doing your foundation, concealer and powder.
Repeat process and spray onto a puff or sponge and pat into skin AFTER you’re done with your whole make up, including contour, blush, etc.
Warning:
Might irritate eyes, I would recommend keeping this stuff away from them.
Might clog pores so if you suffer from that save this product for special occasions and don’t use daily. Or maybe start using it gradually until you find out if it works with your skin and doesn’t clog pores.
Might cause break-outs to people with sensitive skin so test it in a small area of your face before spraying it all over to see if your skin tolerates it.

This is a very good product! Wish I had heard about it years ago. I’ve ordered this one, the ultra setting spray and the Dermacolor fixing spray. Till now I’ve only tested the aerosol fixing spray and I love it! It’s a big can: 400 ml. and only costed me about 19 euro’s. Much cheaper than Skindinavia. Well, Skindinavia has more moisturizers in it, I think, but Kryolan’s fixing spray is a real fixing spray. For maximum hold you spray a layer before you put on your makeup and after applying you makeup you spray over it.

ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT! it seals my makeup and makes it smudge and waterproof! you have to spray it from a distance and it only needs a pump or two for the entire face. Perfect for bridal work, bodypainting and theatrical makeup! love it!

This is really a great product. I go to Esthecian school and one of my teachers kept talking about this Kryolan product that makes your makeup last all day. She had the school special order in a bunch of these and all of us girls bought them. You spray it on to your face in a few light sprays and it literally seals your makeup to your face. For a few minutes, your face might feel a little tight, but then you don’t feel anything. Buy the end of the day my makeup still looked like I had just put it on. Unlike the other review, I sprayed it on my eyes and just made sure they were closed. The spray completely set my shadow/liner/and mascara also! Love this product and it’s way cheap!

This is intended as a fixative to prevent your makeup from rubbing off onto clothing. It’s packaged in a plain white pump spray 4 oz bottle. Using this is somewhat like spraying hairspray onto your face. I’m sure there is alcohol in this. It is definitely something you DON’T want to get anywhere near your eyes. The directions state that it’s for water-based makeup, and I’m not sure what the result would be if used over cream makeup. It’s best to spray from a distance, the directions say 8 inches, but a little more I think is fine. I put one hand up above my eyes, horizontally, and spritz my forehead. Then I use one spritz on each cheek. I think this 4 oz bottle will last me forever at the rate I’m going. I wouldn’t recommend this product for someone with dry skin, because the ingredients in it are drying. But it is fantastic for keeping your makeup looking great all day—no fading or disappearing. And because it is drying, it keeps me from becoming all shiny by mid-day. I’ve noticed that the corners of my nose can get dry & itchy if I use too much. I use Ben Nye color cake foundation with a wet sponge. Afterwards, I apply concealer under my eyes. Then I set with a colorless powder, then I apply a powder blush. After my blush, I spray on this fixative. Shop around on the net before you buy: it retails for $20 on most websites, but Alcone carries it for $13.99, as well as giant refill bottles (which I am sure are a big hit with professional makeup artists). If I ever run out of this product (which I think will take a very long time), I plan on repurchasing. I think it is excellent for keeping my makeup looking fantastic for the whole day and keeping the shinies at bay too. I put my makeup on at 0730, and stayed for a work party that didn’t end until 930 PM, and what do you know, my face looked great the entire time!
