Worked alright, but it was too bulky and too awkward to keep.

This is a review for panasonic EH2331PP heated eyelash curler (matsuge kurun).
I went to Japan a week ago, I was desperate to find a decent eyelash curler and bought 8 different curlers. Finally found my true love, Panasonic EH2331PP 😉
I bought mine from Yodobashi Kyoto a week ago for 2400 yen, but I saw this sold on amazon as well.
This curler and Heroine Make Long & curl mascara have changed my life. ok maybe just my eye-makeup life 😉
The instructions said hold for 15 seconds, which is correct if the curler has been heated up beforehand. So I usually heat it up for 20-25 seconds by holding the switch up, then curl my eyelash for 15-20 seconds each.
I got very natural, very neat curl. You know the messy, criss cross / spider webby lash you accidentally get from clamping your eyelash curler rapidly for 30 secs? Yeah, that never happens with this curler cause you only need to clamp once 😀
One thing that worth mentioning is that aside of the usual clamper, the back of this curler (aka the tip pad) shots up when you clamp it (see the picture), ensuring that the ends of your eyelashes are folded upwards.
Now this, ladies and gentlemen, is the ingredient to a natural curl.
Conventional curlers didn’t have this, and hence you need to clamp your eyelash further away to the ends to achieve the same result.
Note: mine says “Matsugekurun” on the front, they are available in both pink and blue.
Background:
I have a long, sparse, dead straight asian eyelashes.
I have owned 20 different eyelash curlers, including Shu Uemura, shiseido, maquillage, Koji (tried ALL of the models / sizes), Heroine make, and various other eyelash curlers. None of them works. Due to the length of my eyelash, manual eyelash curler always create a stiff curl (basically the base of my eyelash is curled, but the ends are straight up like a grass).
Oh and I have tried Japonesque heated eyelash curler that looks like mascara wand. No good, didnt curl and it takes awhile to heat up too.

Can someone please tell me the model number for this. I’m trying to find it in Australia.

Goodbye struggling to curl my short Asian lashes! I’ve given up on getting gorgeous curled lashes since my short Asian lashes either doesn’t hold the curl long enough (and it doesn’t even get that curled) or the eyelash curler crimp my skin (OUCH!) and pull my lashes. Well, no more. This eyelash curler gave my lashes the beautiful curl that I’ve wanted all this time. So long as you’re not LAZY, you shouldn’t have a problem with this eyelash curler at all whatsoever. Having to hold the on button up isn’t even that big of a deal as it doesn’t take all that long PLUS you save battery life by not having it on longer than you need to. The only thing is I gave it a 3 on cost as it may be pricey for some. This product does what it promises and totally delivers. It heats up quickly and doing my lashes is such a breeze.

complete waste of $25! You have to hold the ‘on’ button to get it warmed up; lit. says 10-15 seconds but more like 3-4 minutes. It doesn’t curl any better than the cheap-o models and I don’t have to stand around pressing a button….the button-holding issue is why I gave it a “0” for packaging, otherwise the “form factor” is nice. i.e. a “2”

I bought this after reading the reviews on MakeupAlley. I love this eyelash curler! When I first took it out of the package, I thought, Bleh, it looks almost just like the one I have. But this one works soooo much better. It gives your eyelashes a beautiful, strong curl. I had eyelash extensions for about nine months, and though they were beautiful I felt they were stressing my eyelashes and causing them to fall out. So I’ve been looking for ways to approximate the look of extensions. This eyelash curler has now become a must-have for me. It basically curls my eyelashes the max that they can be curled.

I love this curler! it heats up quite quickly, and gives you a nice defined curl that lasts all day/night!
I find that the trick is to use a clear mascara first, then curl your lashes, and then finish it off w. your fave mascara! I wasn’t able to get this heated eyelash curler in store. I’ve checked ebay this curler will set you back $40. I think amazon/target carries them online only. This curler works best for medium/longer lashes. If you have short lashes it doesn’t give you a nice curl. I have used the shiseido eyelash curler in the past, and i never found that it made a nice defined curl… this panasonic one is definetly worth checking out!

I would like to add my review of this product as it is quickly becoming my favorite eyelash curler.
First, some background about myself: I am an eyelash curler fanatic and have tried every curler on the market, manual and heated. The eyelash curler can really open up the eyes and make them look 2x larger, if done properly.
While on my quest to find my HG eyelash curler, I came across a review of this product and decided to order it. I have been using the curler for a couple days now and I love how it creates a dramatic curl that lasts all day.
The curler itself is a little bulky and harder to handle then a manual, but I quickly got the hang of it. What I love about this curler is how easily it curls your eyelashes. Heated curlers tended to melt off my mascara leading to goopy eyelashes while manual curlers I had to hold and press for almost a minute and repeat the process in order to create a good curl. So far, all I need to do with the National is hold for a couple seconds and release, and I’m left with a great curl.
I will write an update in several weeks.
The price is expensive, but It’s worth it.

Oh WOW, this is my miracle eyelash curler. I will never go back to Shu or Shiseido or SANA Japanese manual curler. This is not available in the US. I found it on ebay only and a few Japanese website or Hong Kong (but they all in characters, not English). I have straight Asian lashes, medium length for asian. It’s battery operated and easy to use. It holds and curls my lashes forever. You just hold it and curl the lashes more than 5 seconds after you feel the heat. I like to leave mine a bit longer. I don’t even have to recurl again after mascara. They really hold the curls. You can recurl for that Minnie Mouse lashes. lol. This works like a charm. It’s a bit expensive, I paid $40. In Japan, it’s around the same like 4500 Yen or something. PS: this is different from regular Panasonic brand that is sold in amazon US. This National brand has the shape of a manual curler on the top head. You need to press and curl. Available in blue and pink if I’m not wrong. BUY IT and U WON’T REGRET IT. Honestly!!!
