A hidden gem of sponges!
The shape is my favorite type, with a flat side, and the pointy side has the right angle. It’s similar to NYX Flawless Finish I used to like a lot, but actually it’s even better and twice as cheaper. It is very soft and porous, doesn’t hold too much water, and it feels like it washes out thoroughly because you can squeeze almost all the water out of it. It’s more durable than the NYX one and blends just as well. I usually wash my sponges very carefully so I get tears after 2-3 weeks, in the worst cases it happened even after 1-2 washes. This product remained intact for about 3-4 weeks. I swapped it for another because it lost the color and became a bit hard, which is a very unusual reason for me to update a sponge – I usually decide by the shape.
The packaging is the bare minimum, all clear plastic, so it’s easy to recycle. Given the price, you can stock up on these and change them when they get stiff. Truly one of the best sponges I have tried and maybe the cheapest. Check it out if you are a blending sponge user. I’m moving away from sponges to brushes, but would repurchase if I need a sponge.

Wet n Wild did it again with this sponge!
I loved the original beauty blender (BB), but my student budget can’t justify spending $100/year in re-usable makeup sponges for my dry, increasingly textured skin. I tried the RT orange sponge, which was stiff and required much more water than the BB, but sufficed until they changed the sponge to a firmer texture. The CVS, ELF, Ecotools sponges were too stiff for my liking, and no amount of water could soften them. My other favorite dupe was the one by Danielle Creations from KMart, which retained the softness and squishiness of the original BB without requiring as much water as the firmer sponges. This Wet n WIld sponge, however, beats this KMart dupe due to its easy availability in any Target, CVS, RiteAid, or Walgreens, and its price, for <$4. This means spending no more than $20 per year on a makeup sponge that is soft, squishy, and presses and blends liquid product seamlessly with less water usage, and holds well with daily washing with the Daiso pink bottle without staining or dye runoff. Unlike the BB, this Wet n Wild sponge also has a clipped corner that works well for blending my reverse contour on the side of my nose, and the rounded bullet adjacent to it fits flush under my gigantic orbitals. Do note, I do not bake, so I do not know how well the powder works with it this sponge. For my purposes, I got lucky with this cheap, yet effective, dupe, and I am proud to admit that I stock up on this.

ETA: Dropped my review to 3 lippies, as I’ve found that this sponge is more porous than my favorite sponge (elf) and this one seems to absorb a lot of product. I do think that all sponges work differently depending on the consistency of the product/foundation you use (runnier, thicker, water-based etc…) I still think its a great sponge and I would totally repurchase because its so cheap, but my elf total face sponge doesnt absorb near as much product. If you like the feel of the beautyblender sponge, you will love the wnw sponge. The texture and feel are the same and I’ve used both.

A month later, This lasted all month, daily use with daily washing and not a single tear! It retains dampness so well, washes clean easily, applies great, super soft and spongy. I’m stocking up. Did see this in my local stores, surprised its not flying off shelves, but its one of the cheapest available ($3.93) locally that works amazing! Have bought backups already and will buy more. I like the RT sponge but I think this one is more like the original bb and softer, and as long as its available in stores and cheaper, I’d rather buy this one. Cruelty free too.

This is a great sponge! Right up there with RT and EcoTools, and I believe this is cheaper than both ($3.99). It’s squishy, the texture feels just like the beautyblender, which I hated and owned the pink version, so I can compare. I hated the bb because it was overpriced, soaked up a ton of my foundation, and never washed clean.
THIS, on the otherhand, has the same spongy texture, but applies my foundation just fine, washes easily, and does double in size when wet. No pink dye bleeding in the sink. Its more soft than RT, I’d say as soft as EcoTools (the current ones, their old ones were hard). Will see how this holds up to several washings/durability, but I’m already going to purchase a bunch and keep on hand.
