Terrible! Don’t buy! I’d rather use the good old fashioned triangle makeup brushes. It’s like using a mini nurf ball on your face.

I have the non-latex foam super blender because I’m allergic to latex. I don’t think there is going to be much of a difference in performance or texture of the non-latex vs. the latex blenders. First, this is no Beauty Blender (I know, I’ve had several of them). So, if that is what you are looking for, pass on this. This is very dense, very tough and doesn’t absorb water. Tapping this across your face can feel like you’re punching yourself. But, clearly, my face is confused about what it likes. For whatever reason, my skin and makeup look TERRIBLE when I use my Beauty Blender (or any number of foundation brushes I possess). My makeup only looks good when I use this cheap, dense, and unforgiving sponge. I can’t explain why it works, but it does…at least for me. I don’t bother wetting it at all when I use it. With a clean finger, I’ll tap my foundation around my face and then, gently as I can, tap/blend the foundation with this sponge. I do like the pointed shape of the top for under eyes and going around the nose (Shape-wise I like that over the Beauty Blender). I kind of gently press and roll the base across my skin to blend, to avoid the “punching” effect.

Wow using this sponge is like patting your foundation in with a rock. I wasn’t expecting it to be so tough and inflexible. Placing it under water didn’t help either as it didn’t seem to soak any up. It left my foundation looking a splotchy mess.

This is horrible. It’s pretty dense. It doesn’t expand and it doesn’t blend well either. I also don’t like the shape, it doesn’t give you enough space to blend with. I still use mine on my highlight when I am doing my everyday casual makeup look, but for days when you want your makeup on point, I’d suggest going with another brand.

Ok, this is the last time I ignore all the negative reviews and buy a product regardless. If you say it’s awful, then I’ll take your word for it, even if it only costs a buck.
This “blender” stinks. And not the smelly kind of stink. It’s the kind of stink that ticks me off. It’s the kind of stink that means it doesn’t work like it’s supposed to and I wasted my money. This product is a joke. And it’s not a funny one, either.

I don’t use brushes. I’ve used cheapie disposable sponges in the past for cream/liquid products and have been satisfied. Mostly I just use my fingers to apply what I wear now, which are TMs or sheer liquid foundations.
Few weeks back I bought the Target brand blending sponge for 5 bucks. It’s latex, very smooth, dense and stiff. Not super absorbent and doesn’t swell up much or hold much water. I find that it applies my TM MUCH BETTER than fingers. Coverage is much smoother, more even, more natural-looking and not too sheer for my needs. I took my magnifying mirror outside and compared fingers to sponge, and sponge won hands down. I do find that I use a bit more product than when applying with fingers. THIS ONLY PROVES TO ME THAT I LIKE SPONGES BETTER THAN FINGERS.
When I tried the BeautyBlender, I was surprised that it was much softer, dryer, more absorbent and much less dense than the Target sponge. It’s not latex, so maybe that’s the difference. In any event, I found I used a lot more product than with fingers or the Target sponge. Not good when my TM is 27 bucks an ounce. I don’t like the shape of it, the Target sponge works better on nose, jawline, anywhere that has curvatures. Application was easy and looked good, but certainly no better than the Target sponge. THIS JUST PROVES TO ME THAT I LIKE THE RESULTS FROM THE CHEAP LATEX SPONGE MUCH BETTER.
Thankfully my friend is a super product junkie with a big budget; she’s always handing me down things, and this BB sponge was one of them. I wouldn’t pay for it and am glad I didn’t. Side note: she’s kind of an expert and used the BB a couple times and didn’t care for it at all.
In the end, non disposable sponges are breeding grounds for bacteria. I won’t repurchase either of them. What I will do is revisit disposable cosmetic sponges, as the one thing that became clear to me in all of this is that I prefer sponges to fingers.

Wow, I wonder if product quality has improved due to complaints or not, but my experience with the Super Blender is nothing like the earlier reviews at all.
I read the reviews after I had bought the sponge, and was like, “Oh, sh*t, did I buy a dud?!”
Anyhow, my worry was unfounded. The sponge is super soft and squishy; the texture is very fine and smooth. My foundation went on smoothly and evenly (both the thicker and more watery foundations were used). I didn’t notice any odor, and the sponge works just as well as my Beauty Blender. Overall, no complaints!

Bought this thinking it was as good as the beauty blender… NOT. It tore up and it doesn’t do anything Exexcpt absorb all my foundation. It’s like rubbing foam on my face. SO INSTEAD I WENT TO SEPHORA AND BOUGHT A REAL BEAUTY BLENDER AND OMG ITS AMAZING!!! NOTHING COMPARES TO IT SERIOUSLY I HAVE TRIED EVERY BEAUTY BLENDER DUPE AND THEY DONT EVEN COME CLOSE TO THE TRUE BEAUTY BLENDER!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!

I literally took the sponge out of the package and knew it wasn’t going to turn out well.
However, I ran it under water and it did not grow or expand and was still hard as a rock. It’s EXTREMELY similar to Sonia Kashuk’s version of the beauty blender… which I hated as well. Now, to be fair, I have never used the true beautyblender. But, I do use the Real Techniques Beauty Sponge and it is by far perfect. It grows twice its size and the finish is fabulous. I will stick to RT sponge…. I haven’t even tried this sponge.. but don’t really feel like having it eat all of my product.

COMMENTS: Well, this is terrible. The sponge is too hard to properly blend foundation with no bounce to it at all. This makes it very uncomfortable to use on the face and it’s almost like punching yourself. It also doesn’t expand once wet, but then again it does contain latex. The only thing I like about it is the shape – very easy to hold and get into small areas of the face. This would work well for under the eyes, but it’s much too firm and just feel uncomfortable.
Will not repurchase.
