This was from the Tarte Holiday 2014 set. I got mine off eBay in a set that came with a mini Lights Camera Lashes mascara. This eyelash curler has pearl encrusted handles, and it is very pretty! It is the type of curler that is spring loaded and has no loops to fit your fingers in while you use it. I prefer the floppy manual kind, so it took some getting used to. It just never felt right (or terribly safe for that matter). Just this morning I decided I would modify it and luckily it worked beautifully. I took out the spring in the middle (small pliers can bend the spring top a bit, then carefully work it out from underneath the rest of the metal then simply pull each side of the spring out from the pearl handles). Now it is a floppy manual curler and it is perfect. It is not damaged in any way. I control the clamp and pressure and there’s no fast action spring that has a mind of its own. Plus, the curler will fit easily into my makeup bag whereas before with the spring it wouldn’t stay closed and was really awkward to carry. I believe in customizing your own beauty tools (if possible) to make them work for you. I included a photo of the curler after I fixed it, see above.
