Adding another voice in here to say that this is the worst sharpener I have ever used. Does not make a clean “break” when sharpening, yet snaps the tips off pencils, completely ruining them.
Walgreens: if you are only going to stock ONE brand of eye pencil sharpener, please stock something other than this.

What a shi55y sharpener! Pencil kept on getting stuck and tip breaking off when i unstuck it. Too bad cause i used it to sharpen an expensive nars jumbo lip pencil. Pissed me off..threw it in the trash

Poor eyeliner pencil sharpener, breaks tip of pencils. I got it from walgreen for just $0.69. Waste !

You get what you pay for. I had used drugstore sharpeners before and never had a problem. When I lost my old one, I picked this up at Walgreens, as it was all they had available. Completely chewed up my Lancôme and Tarte eyeliner pencils. Not worth only spending 99 cents when it chews up $5 worth of product and makes it unusable.
Purchased the Kevyn Aucoin for $8, money well spent.

When I got the Color Icon pencil I also picked this up. It’s also 99c and is made for the same pencils, so why not?
PROS: I’ve only used the matching Color Icon pencils with this, so I can only report on that, but with those, it works really well. It just sharpens while using very small amount, so no waste. And it’s only 99 cents!
CONS: Bizarre design. Not only do pencils insert in it at a sharp downward angle, (which means that you need to use it on an edge of a table or handheld so you have enough room), there is nothing to catch shavings, and the shavings come out on the TOP of the sharpener.
OVERALL: It works fine for the Color Icon pencils and for my use, but if you use pencils often, having no place to collect the shavings and the non 90 degree angle would kill it.
