I’ve been using this product for over two years. I will have to buy a new one if it breaks! After I use it, my skin looks plumped and healthy! The effects last for about 24 hours. I can’t speak to whether or not it creates long-term changes: I am 71, so that’s almost impossible to ask of any product (besides surgery). I have had no problems with the device, but I bought it directly from ZIIP, and that may be an assurance of quality.
It is an expensive investment, but since I am not interested in plastic surgery, this is my attempt at keeping my skin as nice as I can. I use it before going to an event and at least 3 times a week. There are several choices of treatments (eyes, pigmentation, puffiness, general skin treatments). New treatments are added over time as well. The gels are almost cost prohibitive, and I don’t think they contribute that much to the final results. I am looking for an alternative for the gels.

This is probably my biggest beauty purchase and regret so far. I was suckered in by all the marketing and publicity, and thought this would be a worthy anti-aging investment in the long run. Before I talk about the effectiveness of this device, I need to address the sturdiness of the device. I bought this on Cult Beauty. Within a month of purchase I started seeing cracks on the device which alarmed me since this thing isn’t cheap. How was it supposed to last for years to come if it started cracking within a month? I contacted CB and sent them the pictures. To their credit, they sent me a new one. I’ve had the new one for over a year now and I spotted a crack yet again. This doesn’t bode well for its longevity.
Let me talk about the performance of the device does now. They have many treatment options you can choose from on an iphone app. Syncing it to the device is simple enough. I’ve been using Energize and Vital Eyes faithfully for over a year now with other treatments sprinkled in between as needed. Boy am I disappointed. I *think* it makes my skin brighter after I use it, but other than that I see no changes in the contours of my face, fine lines, puffiness, dark circles and occasional breakouts, etc. I don’t know about you, but I don’t like the feeling of throwing away $500 for the device + $129 for the golden gel/$50 for the silver gel to come out looking bright for a few hours. I can replicate that with a good mask. Moreover, the golden gel irritates my skin a little bit. I’m honestly kicking myself for getting this instead of the nuface trinity which seems to have better reviews consistently. Unfortunately, I can’t afford it right now and I’m stuck using Ziip until the gel runs out. I might try using Ziip with generic conductive gels, but honestly, there’s no incentive to continue with the treatments. It pains me to even think about giving this away after I’ve paid so much for it. I guess it’ll be stuck in the back of a drawer somewhere for a while.
