This is the first Beautyblender product I’ve tried. I’m not impressed. I use this for my under eye concealer. The sponge is so soft and absorbs so much water that I can’t get good coverage with it. I’ve tried it dry and damp and don’t care for the results either way.
I Iike my knockoff sponge blenders better.

This is the only true beautyblender I cannot live without. I do absolutely love the original, though these days I merely use the original (or a comparable dupe) as a finisher after applying my foundation with a brush. I typically will go over my face quickly with a sponge to blend out any brush strokes, etc.
The blusher, however, is a true necessity for me when applying & blending under eye concealer. I haven’t been able to find a dupe for it (though one or two have come close). The microblender is too tiny and the blusher is everything I wanted and hoped to get out of the microblender. Oddly enough, I rarely use this to blend any cream cheek products. Now that beautyblender is a available in a lot of retailers other than Sephora, it is fairly easy to find a discount/promo code/sale and get any of their products for less money. Try this for undereye concealer. You will not regret it!

I thought this was a gimmick- then I tried it! It is great for applying cream products: blush, bronzer, highlight. I was using a small stippling brush and this is much faster/ easier. I love using this to do my under eye concealer, the size is perfect. I also use it to spot cover blemishes/ discoloration around my nose. I press it into my skin and it melts concealer into my skin without taking it all off. I love this sponge.

This is THE foundation sponge for me.
Original beauty blender is way too big for my face; sometimes i mess up my eyeshadow when blending foundation. It is also more difficult to clean and lather. This is a nice in-between size for small faces like mine. Easy to clean, easy to reach small crevices of nose.
One thing i don’t like about the entire beautyblender products is that they seem to force the purpose of the product on you. Like, this is the original one to use for FOUNDATION and this one is for BLUSH and this is for EYES…Why don’t they just name the sizes? I find it very limiting because the material’s the same all over (i have the original, blusher, micro minis and blotterazzis; they are all the same) I could’ve been driven away from this product thinking it was only suitable for blush application.
I give 3 lippies to packaging because the pedestal they secure the sponge in leaves some dents on the sponge. Sometimes they fade away and sometimes don’t (my original one was permanently dented)
