   This is expensive for the tiny amount you get. $21 for .4 ozs of product but you only use a drop or 2 at a time so it should last a long time. This is the best product hands down for feathering in realistic brow hairs that don’t budge. I use a drop in a $1 contact lense case mixed with some brown mac eyeshadow that I scrape off the top of the pan with an old brow brush. Perfect for sparse brows. Looks completely natural and will not smudge even in high heat and humidity. It fades slightly after a long hot day but still looks good unlike pencils that don’t hold up in summer heat and look like pencil no matter how skilled you apply. The only caveats are that the liquid evaporates easily so the concave contact case keeps it from drying too quickly while you mix and apply. It will also dry rock hard onto your brush no matter how well you thought you cleaned it. It will soften again with a good brush cleaner or when used again with the drops but always seems to dry stiff. Because of that I have a brush dedicated for use with this that’s suitable for brows or eyelining.

   Make Up For Ever’s Aqua Seal is a truly revolutionary product!

   I originally purchased it because despite having surgery to correct a blocked tear duct in my right eye, I still have issues with occasional watering. When that eye waters, the tears flow onto my upper eyelid, washing away my carefully applied powder eyeshadows, and leaving behind a crusty mess.

   I was hesitant to buy such an expensive product (cost per ounce – the bottle is TINY), but when I calculated the value of all those lovely powder eyeshadow palettes I have that I can’t use, the purchase made a lot of sense.

   To use to set powder eyeshadows, I place a tiny drop of the product on the back of my hand, then press one side of a sponge tip applicator into it, allowing the applicator to absorb the product. I then gently pat the product onto my lid (do not press – you’ll release too much product. Do not slide the applicator – you’ll remove the shadow). Let dry, and you’re done! Your eyeshadow won’t budge!

   I’ve also discovered two other uses for Aqua Seal:

   I am one of those people who simply cannot wear lip products. They don’t stay on. Even those marketed as “long lasting” (Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick, for example) wears off in the center of both upper and bottom lips within an hour of application, leaving me with what I call “Doughnut Mouth.” As much as I love makeup, I *hate* having to touch it up/reapply it throughout the day, and having to completely remove my lip product and reapply it every hour is WAY more trouble than it’s worth.

   Then, one day I was looking at my bottle of Aqua Seal, and wondered it maybe it would work to keep my lipstick in place. First I applied Kat Von D’s Everlasting Liquid Lipstick (Lolita, in case you were wondering). Before it completely dried down, I put a drop of Aqua Seal on the back of my hand and dipped my Sonia Kashuk Core Tools Concealer Brush #110 in the product, and proceeded to paint it all over my lips (blending it with the liquid lipstick, as opposed to just patting it on top of it), making sure I extended the coverage of the product all the way to the inner portion of both top and bottom lips (where the lipstick stopped).

   The first thing I noticed is that the lipstick dried almost immediately. Once dry, it stayed on FOR HOURS – with no fading/cracking – and more importantly – NO DOUGHNUT MOUTH! YAY!

   But my most miraculous discovery has been using Aqua Seal with my under-eye concealer.

   After applying my foundation (Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Invisible Cover Foundation), I put a small dab of Make Up Forever Full Cover Concealer on the back of my hand. Then, I tilt the bottle of Aqua Seal at a 45° angle over the dab of concealer (without squeezing the bottle!), and touch the small drop of Aqua Seal that appears at the tip to the concealer. (A full drop of Aqua Seal will dilute the concealer too much). I then mix the Aqua Seal into the concealer with a (clean!) fingertip, and let it sit for about 30 seconds on the back of my hand (it will begin to thicken back up to its original viscosity), and apply it to my undereye area using my fingertip and a tapping motion. I do two coats on each eye, alternating back and forth (allowing the first coat to dry while I am working on the second eye). I’ve found using a tapping motion (instead of sliding my fingertip [or using a brush]) to apply the concealer works better because the concealer stays exactly where I’ve put it.

   Despite the fact I’m older, and actually have creases under my eyes (not just “fine lines”), mixing the Aqua Seal into my concealer prevents my concealer from settling into those creases all day long. Finally, a solution to the concealer creasing issue that WORKS!

   As I continue to experiment, I’m sure I’ll discover other ways to use Aqua Seal. It ‘s a multi-use product that works!

   This product is genius. It was also first of a kind that I have tried, and since I could not get similar product at Illamasqua I opted for MUFE.
   Aqua Seal is an awesome little product to mix in with your loose eyeshadows, pigments or glitter if you want it to last that extra mile and become waterproof.
   Generally speaking Aqua Seal is what makes things long-lasting and waterproof. It is not supposed to be used on your lips or lashes though, eye lids only.
   My favorite way of using it is to wet my brush in it and then dip into whatever eyeshadow product I was to saturate in color or make that extra bit long-lasting.
   I recommend washing your brush right after though, so you don’t damage its bristles.

   This product has completely changed my life. I was born with a blocked tear duct and it never opened up. As a result, my left eye waters constantly and destroys any makeup I put there. Surgery isn’t really an option at this point due to my high deductible on my insurance. I pretty much gave up hope on ever being able to wear dramatic eye makeup, especially eyeliner. I found this product at Sephora and decided to give it a shot. This product is unbelievable. I went to a concert Friday night. I applied my make up at 6 pm (dramatic, smokey eye with lots of eyeliner and falsies) and came home at about 1 am with my eye makeup still on. There was creasing on the lid due to sweating, etc. but my lower lash line was absolutely perfect, and this is where the watering gives me the most trouble. The price of this is not bad at all considering that you only need a few drops. I can see this lasting me 6 months at least. I will definitely be repurchasing this product. The only issue I have is the packaging. It tends to leak if I toss it in my makeup bag, so I have to leave it on my vanity standing up. I will probably need to find a different bottle to put it in while traveling.

   BEST FIND EVER. FORGET MY URBAN DECAY PRIMER POTION OR TOO FACED SHADOW INSURANCE. THIS AQUA SEAL IS FAR SUPERIOR. THANKS to the MAKEUPALLEY user who recommended it to me on the board!

   I have a confession to make: I LOVE eyeliner but I can’t wear it because EVERY eyeliner smudges on me under my eyes, giving me a DARK circles look. I know for most people, it transfers to their lid, which is still so much better than transferring it to your undereyes! EVERYDAY (or anytime i wear any eyeliner) I rub my undereyes to remove the smudge throughout the day, which makes my concealer disappear sooner, and of course, lots of my eyeliner goes away with that. I’ve been doing this for years, sad, I know. So I gave up. People would say: “Have you tried this eyeliner? It never smudges, all liners smudge on me, but this one doesn’t” Yes, I’ve tried those holy grail eyeliners that never smudge on you.. Here is what I have tried and smudged to my undereyes:

   1) Urban Decay 24/7 liner
   2) MAC fluidline
   3) Bobbi Brown gel liner
   4) Chanel eyeliner pencil
   5) Too faced Better than sex eyeliner
   6) NARS gel liner
   7) NARS pencil liner
   8) BENEFIT badgal liner
   9) TONYMOLY liquid liner
   10) K-palette liquid liner (This one is the best, but smudges very minimally , still a prob)
   11) MAKE UP FOR EVER AQUA eyeliner (The one that comes with the Sephora birthday freebie for 2014)

   I’ve tried the following eye primers:
   1) UDPP
   2) MAC painterly
   3) Shadow insurance
   4) LORAC eye primer
   5) LUNASOL eye base

   With those underneath, still smudged my undereyes. Am I a freak? Maybe. Maybe just my lids are so oily and my eye shape not suited for eyeliner wear. I decided to try a drop of the aqua seal after my liner and it stays put until I take it off. No smudges, no dark circle look for me. Wow! It takes seconds to apply. it’s $25 Canadian and it will last you forever. You can even go swimming with it and your eye makeup will be perfectly put. Thank you so much for recommending me this product. I will NEVER go without it as long as I wear liner 🙂 I just can’t believe all along I was making myself look older by wearing eyeliner because of the smudges.

   UPDATE::: Today, I tried the aqua seal under my UDPP. Then, this on top of my eyeliner. Budgeproof and smudgeproof. 🙂
