The jar is surprisingly small, but I looked at the volume and it’s just packed very compactly (50 ml). This is not a clay mask or purifying mask, it’s a very nourishing mask that hydrates and restores your skin. The mask smells a bit fruity despite all the veggies in the formula and doesn’t dry out while you’re masking. This is a great morning after mask after a few nights out and you need to repair, restore, detox and relax.

This mask is expensive but I received it in a Sephora Superfoods skin kit. It’s very popular but it takes a lot to cover your face completely and dries fast. It smells okay and the ingredients are decent but I’ve used the entire jar and never saw any noticeable results. Glad I used it all but I will not purchase this one.

The Youth to the People brand is a newer brand that focuses on using vegetables and “superfood” in their products. Most commonly they use kale, spirulina, spinach, and green tea. Some of those are proven antioxidants while some do not have much research yet. I do like that these products to not use any fragrance or denatured alcohol in their formula. This mask is more of a clay based- mask versus an emollient hydrating mask. If you have oily skin you will most likely enjoy using this mask as opposed to someone with dry skin.
What I dislike is the jar packaging which exposes the beneficial ingredients to air and light. This exposure can degrade the ingredients and cause them to lose effectiveness. I am always out to try the latest face masks, this one smells like a kale smoothie and feels fresh when you have it on and after you take it off, but unlike other masks that give you an instant/temporary “glow”, this mask is more of a long term skin conditioner. I’ve been using for 2 months every week and it’s basically a clay mask but it’s very unique in that when the clay dries down, it’s not stiff or tight or starts cracking like a mud mask. It feels very comfortable and emollient even when dried. This didn’t re texturize my pores and I haven’t noticed any long term benefit, certainly my origins charcoal mask is better at cleaning pores but perhaps it is working to prevent wrinkles. Overall, I would recommend this to someone who has dry skin that usually cannot handle clay type masks who want a refreshing mask experience. I liked it but saw no benefits to my skin so would not repurchase
