I have sensitive skin and this mask does not irritate me which is very nice. I love that it’s purple. It can be applied thickly or thinly. I like to have it thinner so I am not globbing it all over. It is very pricey so I wanted to make it last. You leave it on for 15 mins and then rinse off. I love how it makes my skin feel after I’ve rinsed and patted my face dry. It is so smooth. However I haven’t noticed any brightening of the dark spots on my face. So I don’t think those claims are true about it. I won’t repurchase.

I’m always looking for a product to add some brightness to my skin and provide some mild exfoliation – without causing any irritation or breakouts, which some have done in the past for me. I’m a fan of some Tatcha products, though some have really disappointed me. This one is so-so. I followed instructions to apply to clean skin and leave on for about 15 minutes. The mask is pretty thick, almost like a soft putty, so it didn’t apply as easily as some others. Regardless, I was excited to see the results after removing it. The day of using the mask my skin looks a little smoother and brighter. I suspect the effect is mostly unobservable to anyone else but me, given my obsession with skincare. But it’s also disappointing that the effect only lasted a day. Maybe that’s a lot to ask, but given that the instructions indicate to use it just a few times a week, I assume that its intent is to deliver lasting radiance beyond a single day. So…I’ll continue to use it now and then when I want a little extra brightness boost, but I would sooner spend my time on a different mask or treatment.

By far my favorite product from Tatcha! Everything about this mask is unique. First of all that container…I foresee myself holding onto it for all time to come. It’s stunning and actually makes me look forward to using the mask. Then the texture of the mask – creamy and clay based but yet softening (due to glycerine) and not one of those that dries hard and becomes a pain to wash off. Then the fragrance…I don’t usually like fragrance in my skincare, the only exception being if it’s a wash-off or temporary product, as minimizes chances of any reaction/breakout. The color – light purple-violet and unique in the world of masks, and I’ve tried my share of them believe me!
But above all the results: The Vitamin C, Asian botanicals and 10% AHA blend is just perfect, especially as they are fruit derived acids and not too harsh on my skin. I get instantly smooth skin texture and radiance with just one application, leaving on for 15-20 minutes and then rinsing off with lukewarm water. As with any AHA-based product my makeup goes on much better after using (that whole ‘smooth canvas to paint on’ theory)
Pricier than many at $68 for a jar but there’s so many reasons to love this and nothing to dislike = a definite keeper!

I really like this mask, I routinely use it on the tail end of my rosacea flares. It’s soothing, has never irritated my sensitive skin and actually works to brighten my complexion. I usually leave it on for the allotted 20 minutes, but I have forgotten about it and left it for over a half hour before. I will definitely repurchase as I’m a fan of several Tatcha products.

This is definitely going into my permanent rotation of masks. I LOVE the bright purple color of this mask. It’s a nice change from the brown, grey, black and green masks that I normally apply to my face. This mask comes in a thick creamy paste in a bright lavender color. It has a delicious fruity smell and feels like a blanket of cool, comforting cream on your skin. There is no skin irritation, the mask doesn’t fully harden, and rinses off effortlessly. My skin looked immediately brighter and more hydrated after 20 minute.
