When it comes to La Mer skin care I’ve never been wowed…until now!
I used this mask every night for 3 consecutive nights until my trial sized tube finished. The first night I applied for just 10 minutes and wiped away any excess with a cotton pad, which to be honest was not that much as my skin seemed to have absorbed it all. Instantly I noticed my complexion looked more radiant and rested.
For the next 2 nights I applied overnight and let it sink in and work its magic. Not only was there a brighter tone to look forward to in the morning but my skin looked more plumped and it glowed.
My sample didn’t extend past that point as I’d used it all up, and maybe that’s a good thing as I was starting to get some small bumps (quite common for me if I use a silicone containing product on consecutive days). The breakout could also have been down to the Eucalyptus oil or Spearmint in here, both of which I’m guessing could well have caused the negative reaction that other MUA reviewers have mentioned. If I was to purchase the full size I would definitely have to stick to twice per week application at most…despite how tempting it can be to use more often when your skin ends up looking this good!
Bottom line: if your skin isn’t sensitive it’s worth giving this a try. One of the very few La Mer skincare products that I’ve found to be worth the splurge.

This is a good moisturising mask. I can use it as moisturizer or overnight and its not as heavy as the cream. I enjoyed finishing this but I would like to explore other masks given the price point. Its very moisturising and layers well with other products. I would say that they only thing I don’t like about it is the lemon/mint essential oil, i made my nose run and the cooling effects were too intense. Nonetheless I felt this was effective at its intended purpose. Its not a miracle but it is a great mask that is very versatile.

I hate how much I loved this. Got a sample from Nordstrom and used it about 4 times. It was unbelievable. You go to bed with it on, and wake up with the most beautiful skin ever. Or, put it on after a shower directly as the first step. It’ll sink right in (nothing to take off) and you’ll be left with completely even, completely hydrated skin. This was more worth it then their original creme pot. More worth it then their eye cream. I went back to buy one but they were sold out.

I received a sample of this mask with an order that I had placed directly thru the La Mer website. It sat on my counter for a few weeks, actually kinda forgot about it. Then I spent some extended time outside and gave myself a lovely case of wind burn, you know the tomato red, peeling face kind. Well at the end of the day when I went inside, with my face feeling like it might spontaneously burst into flames, I remembered this mask. I first wet a cold rag and put that on my face for 10 to 15 minutes and then I applied a generous amount of the mask to my face and went to lay down for about 30 minutes. When I got up and went to the bathroom to look in mirror, the redness and flaking had been cut In half and all of the product had been absorbed. This product worked miracles on my face for the wind burn and I have now incorporated it into my regular skin care, especially since I live out in the country with horses and dogs to take care of which means wind burn is not an uncommon experience. Oh and the sample I received was good for 3 generous uses, and, I immediately ordered a full size tube. I hope this helps somebody thinking about purchasing the product.

I am a sucker for mask so it didn’t take me long before I decided to purchase this mask. I have made the right decision. I have been enjoying this mask and almost running out of this product.
Basically what this mask does is it returns your skin condition to it’s prime. The instruction said you should wipe off the access after 8 minutes, but what I normally do is I let them stay on. I apply the mask and add 2 drops of the la mer renewal oil before applying it. I wait until 8 minutes (or until the mask is fully absorbed) before applying my next skin care product. You can use this mask daily. I always apply this in the morning to energize my skin for the day. But if you have limited time in the morning, you can apply this in the evening. Despite the mask has a creamy texture, it doesnt clog my pores at all. After a week of daily use, I can tell how the mask really smooth out my skin textures. Really recommended!!

La Mer makes some excellent masks and I like them all and I use them at different times. The Brightening Mask is a set of 6 masks, made of 2-part thick cotton cloth, soaked with serum and deeply hydrating when I have the time for some serious home spa pampering. The Lifting and Firming Mask comes in a tub and is applied with the accompanying brush and then massaged in, which is a faster way to achieve a glow at home. And this Intensive Revitalizing Mask is La Mer’s latest addition and comes in a tube (see uploaded stock photo). It is mostly a hydrating product and I like using it when traveling. It does a nice job restoring moisture in my skin after long haul flights. The product has a pleasant smell that is not strong and it fades quickly. I will repurchase.

I’m always fair when writing reviews, I’ll trial products for consecutive days before actually giving a final judgment. This product gave me more trouble than was necessary, from not only creating more fine lines and clogged pores but also giving me one of the worse rash attacks I’ve ever experienced. My face was red and flakey, not to mention filled with under the skin lumps that refused to go away, without cortisone cream. I expected a glowing complexion for the extravagant price and instead I was served with breakouts AND dehydration, never again.

I went to my favorite SA and asked which product is best for travel and she highly recommended The Intensive Revitalizing Mask. I use a very small amount after my serum every morning and let it soak in while I do other routines. The results are smooth skin that allows me to use less makeup! Definetly a good way to get the benefits of La mer all day long… I always keep the original creme on hand, but now will use this as my daily moisturizer, just like other La Mer products, you only need a very small amount. I do use it on my neck and décolleté as well.

Edit April 24th 2016: I have been using this mask for the last 4 weeks every night. Like the very light fluid texture that is instantly absorbed into the skin. No oily residue left. I don’t know whether it has any chance to revitalize the skin but it does contain some impressive anti-oxidants and actives. For me, it is a bit too light to be used alone at night but if you’d like to add an additional step to your skin care routine, this could be a good alternative (as long as you are fine with the price). Possibly it can be a nice and light lotion during the day for the summer months though. What I don’t like about this product is the fragrance. Although it’ll disappear quickly, it is far too citrusy. I also found the Clinique Moisture Surge Mask much more mask-like that is also thoroughly hydrating, for the fraction of the price.
