The Birth Of Venus is a jelly face mask from Lush designed to calm, soften and refresh the skin. The jelly formula is easy to use, I simply tear off a little, rub between my fingers until it become a paste consistency and then apply to my face. I then leave it on for roughly 15 minutes before rinsing. It rinses off easily with warm water, I like to rinse it off in the shower for the quickest and easiest removal. This mask really appealed to me due to it containing seawater, chamomile and carrageen extract – ingredients I know my skin loves. This mask has a refreshing somewhat herbal, somewhat oceanic scent (but not fishy like Aqua Marina can be!). I have a somewhat sensitive skin and this mask does not irritate it. It leaves my skin feeling very soft and refreshed, and does help calm any breakouts or redness on my face. I use this mask a lot and would definitely repurchase. Lush’s jelly masks have a longer shelf-life than the fresh face masks and you only need to use a small amount at a time making them great value for money.
