I really didn’t trust or believe in Garnier products at first.. However, I was excited to try the kaolin clay formula! The product rejuvenates the skin, so there is no need for face lotions! This product also makes the skin feel refreshed throughout the day. Garnier’s Pore Purifying Clay Cleanser + Mask makes a good base to apply makeup. As a cleanser, the next day, redness is reduced. As a mask, it is easy to apply and does not sting. The wait for the mask is 5 minutes onwards. This is my HG cleanser.

Housed in a tube, the extremely thick, overly fragrant formula is difficult to move across skin and rinse. If the strong fragrance wasn’t bad enough, this cleansing mask also contains menthol to further irritate skin.I will not purchase.

I recently purchased this product and I really like it. It has a nice sensation on the face, as it tingles the pores and leaves them feeling refreshed. It tightens on your skin right at the 5 minute limit that it is supposed to be applied for.
I have not used it as a face wash, but I really like it as a mask. It will help to fix problem oil areas and seems to open the pores of the skin. I would purchase this product again as I love the color grey and the packaging. It is also nicely priced. Thank you.

I’m really torn about this product. I have rather dry skin, but I do get some breakouts… especially around my “lady days”… so I like to have a good mask to help unclog pores and clear that stuff up quickly. I’ve only ever used this product as a mask… I think as a regular use face wash this stuff would be WAY too drying. As a mask, I think it works quite well. I think it really does help unclog my pores and tighten things up. My problem is this…. it has some serious menthol in it and it BURNS. I mean, I can handle it, but holy cow! It probably feels extra intense to me because I do have dry/sensitive skin… someone with a different skin type (as in oily, which is who this product was really intended for.. ) would perhaps not notice it as much… but for me, holy moly. Even after I rinse it off, my skin is red and warm to the touch (irritated…) for some time after. I would like this product so so so much better if it wasn’t for the menthol. I don’t understand the thinking behind adding that particular ingredient to an otherwise really nice mask. Ugh. So, even though it does do what I want it to, I wouldn’t repurchase because I don’t appreciate how much it burns! I will finish it the bottle, though. So it isn’t the worst thing ever…. -sigh-…. like I said, I’m torn about it. I really wish they hadn’t added the menthol, that’s all. It’s worth a shot for someone who isn’t particularly sensitive, I’d say. It’s pretty inexpensive so even if you don’t love it, you’re not out much.

I was hoping this was going to be a dupe for Origin’s Clear Improvement clay mask, something I like a lot but won’t buy because it’s so expensive. It claims to be a cleanser/mask like that discontinued Neutrogena one I loved. This is not nearly as thick as either, but it dries in five minutes and is much easier to remove. It has menthol and absorbs excess oil. So far I’m liking it. Unlike that Aztec clay mask, this didn’t irritate my skin at all. This was $7.99 at CVS but I had a couple of coupons and got ECBs back, so it was almost free.
