   I use this once a week after thoroughly cleaning and washing my face.
   I start with soap, then exfoliate and ends it with this mask. Slowly massage the face for a minute and leave it while showering and rinse it off at the end of my shower. The suggestion is actually to massage for 1 minute and leave it for 1 minute then rinse off.

   It left my skin soft and moisturized. Small pimples are usually gone the next day after I use this mask. It reduces the redness in my skin, especially after I exfoliate.
   My dry skin is less flakey when I diligently apply this mask once a week.

   The quality of the product is awesome, it works like wonder for me.
   Pretty pricey but it lasts for a long time, so consider it as a good long term investment.
   I don’t fancy the packaging as it looks not too hygienic (although they provide a spatula, but still… A bottle would be preferred.).

   Till I can find a better replacement, I will buy this again.

   This mask exceeded my expectations. I got it as a sample when I purchased other Kose products. The sample came in a 30ml tub which is huge for a sample. Always ask for samples when purchasing skin care products. Kose is quite generous with their samples. Anyway I applied a decent layer and massaged it in for a few minutes and left it for about 5 mins and washed it off. I looked at the mirror and thought wow! My skin looked bright and smooth and was at least 2 shades lighter. The product is great for a quick pick me up!

   This product is a beige cream. In my opinion it looks yucky and smells bitter like herbs do (no alcohol smell at all however), which I am fine with.

   After I wash my face in the shower, I spread this across my face and neck. A generous dollop spreads well and very smoothly, and there is a lot of product in a jar (which is why I gave 4/5 for price. It is expensive but can last you quite a bit).

   I massage it onto my face, rubbing my muscles, circling my eyes, and using strong upward motions on my neck and jowls. The mask makes my motions smoother, and the cream is also worked into my skin. I do the lymphatic drainage massage as well while letting the mask sit on my face.

   After that I just rinse it all off in the shower and I am left with nice skin. I think it must be because of the mask.

   Pros compared to other face masks:
   1. It comes in a tub, so you can massage your face as well as massage your product onto instead of just letting a face mask sit on your face, which I find less effective.
   2. You can also apply it on your neck, which a normal mask cannot.
   3. You can apply your typical products after that so your face will not have to deal with a sudden change in routine compared to if you used a heavier night pack instead of a mask.

   Cons:
   1. Looks yucky and may not smell pleasant to you depending on your taste.
   2. Some people may have issues with the large open tub but I am fine with it as I only use it in the shower and with clean hands.
   3. I can only use it in the shower as it is quite runny.

   My mom introduced me to this mask when I was in highschool. She bought a lot of sekkisei products and the store just gave the full size for her (for free! how generous is that?), she didn’t like masks so she gave it to me and said to use it at night once a week.

   I was quite fair at that time but I was curious what effect this product could give. So I use it after cleansing my face, massaged it for a few seconds and leave it for about… 10 minutes? not too sure how long should I leave it.

   The texture is cream thick and very luxurious. You scoop the product out with the given spatula and spread it on your face. It didn’t sting my skin despite the high alcohol content. It smelled… herbal-y? I don’t know, it doesn’t smell weird for me, but definitely something that you never smelled before. After 10 minutes I rinse it off, I didn’t see any effect so I went to bed.

   The next day, I saw that my face glowed! Like really radiant and glowing. I was startled, and my face was smoother as well! I used this for a while but after junior year I forgot about it (teenagers, sometimes we neglect good products and regret it later)

   At college my skin condition is very bad, I got 3 shades (!!!) darker since orientation and red post acne marks. I used whitening cream, sunscreens, everything to “heal” my skin. Out of the blue, one of my friends asked what whitening product that works.

   I remembered this mask, and the amazing effect it gives. So I went to buy this, and use it all over again.

   The effect is less startling and less noticable, maybe because my skin is not as youthful or not as fair as before? i don’t know, but I noticed that the post red acne marks are fading because of this product, and my skin is getting lighter slowly. And I am sure that this product will help me heal my skin 🙂

   The product itself is quite expensive, but it last very long (you only need one scoop for the whole face) and it works! Try it, I’m sure you’ll love it as well

   I was looking for massage cream and after reading the good review on MUA I went to buy it. I hate it at first because it sting my face probably because it contain alcohol on it and I put way too much of it on my face. I left it sitting on my cupboard for half a year and last month I was cleaning out my cupboard and saw this, I was thinking to give it away but decided to give it another chance. This time I browse around beauty blogs to find the best way to use it, you only need little cream, massage it for 2-3 minutes and left it on for another 10 minutes. I’ve been using it every other day and love the result, saw the whitening effect and it make my skin softer.

   I got this mask online as it’s a japan’s exclusive product from the famous Sekkisei (whitening) line. Been using it for 2 weeks and now I can say I’m very satisfied with the product. Made my skin soft like a baby’s and really brigtened my whole complexion. I tried a lot of whitening masks including Mario Badescu,Shisiedo,etc and only Kose gave me some visible and fast results: translucent blemish-free skin( by blemishes I mean sun spots and acne marks)
   It doesn’t come cheap,but you get a lot of product and you need only a little each time.
   Will I repurchase it? 100% yes and I highly recommend it as a really effective brigtening mask :3

   Pros: Just works! I love love love this product. After putting the mask on for 2 minutes (I often forget how short the application time is, and so leave the mask on for 7-10minutes. but the mask is mild enough and my skin doesn’t suffer from the extra time), my skin feels smooth and silky. Pores are smaller. Whitening effect was there, especially when I first started using it. Now my skin tone has adjusted back to normal (I got tanned over years and have just started to sort out my skin tone), the whitening effect is understandably smaller. Still, great effect on my skin. Also comes with a spatula so everything is kept hygienic.

   Cons: the smell might be a little off putting, but I have gotten used to it with no problems. It smells with chinese herbals to me (hence the name of the product, I guess).

   Definitely will buy this again!

   i love this. im into whitening my skin these days and it really helps. it feels good to massage my face and when i wake up next mornign my face is brighter.

   Sekkisei Herbal Esthetic comes in a large tub with a stick for scooping. It has got a nice texture and pleasant powdery smell. I used to apply before taking a shower and then rinsed my face thoroughly. I have ambivalent feelings about this product as it does not produce any visible results for me.

    I got a sample of the Sekkisei Herbal whitening mask. I really love this stuff, its nondrying and feels soft and smooth. Definitely a divine product!!!
