Tonight I decided to use the Mario Badescue Rose Hips Masks, I had a deluxe sample size and thought tonight would be nice to give it a chance. The packaging has generally turned me off from the brand, but I tried their Aloe Vera Toner and found it to be pretty gentle- maybe I should be using more from the Mario Badescu brand?
After using this mask I found another reason I haven’t dabbled too much into the Mario Badescu brand- they seem to use a lot of different fragrance ingredients in a lot of their products. The Rose Hips Mask contains- fragrance (which can be any combination of hundreds of different ingredients they don’t have to disclose), as well as Citral, Eugenol, Linalool. Thankfully it isn’t as much of an issue in a rinse off product, but I really prefer to avoid them, especially citral. There is also a few artificial colors to give the product a tint.
I do like the masks oil-absorbing qualities but my skin doesn’t look or feel much different after rinsing the mask off. I do like that this contains some beneficial ingredients like soybean oil and olive fruit extract. I also like that this is an affordable mask. For me it just didn’t offer any of the qualities I need.
